It seemed that a demon slayer had to experience what it felt like to be a demon. Sango had never gone through such a thing before, but when she had woken up, her senses were so lucid -- so clear -- that every step felt like a dream. Her eyesight was ten times better than that of a human and she could hear everything around her. When she walked, it felt like she weighed nothing -- walking on air. She didn't even feel herself taking a breath but she could feel every single organ inside her body pumping away to keep her alive and functioning.
Is this what it felt like to be a demon? Being able to have these senses come alive in the most simplest ways made her breathless. Being able to live like this, or not having the choice, was it a curse or a gift? The tajiya had been raised to believe that all demons were evil; they needed to be exterminated because they preyed on humans. Used their flesh as food and their land to spawn their young to create more chaos and despair. What her training failed to inform her was what it would be like to be one of them, living the way they do.
Sango was not inside the Hotel, but rather she found herself wander an open plain near a small forest. Kirara was not with her, having opted to sleep in their room. Usually Sango would have her companion with her at all times, but tonight was the exception. Wanting to put these newfound abilities to the test, Sango decided to run through the forest. However, she would not as a human would; not bothering to stretch her limbs beforehand, she crouched down and leaped up towards the nearest tree and landed on the branch with silent grace, the leaves not even stirring under her weight.
It seemed like only a few seconds passed by before she found a clearing with a hot spring. Not needing a bath, but wanting one, the tajiya stripped her clothes, her body not having undergone any physical changes, so she remained in all her hard beauty, and stepped into the steaming water. If there was a presence nearby, it would be no problem for her to detect it before it got too close, allowing her to act fast if it was a foe.
