Lucy Heartfilia was never the type to cause a scene. But today, she made an exception.
It had been a few months since she started going out with him and the first few weeks were some of the best moments in her life. After that, things began to change. She didn't mind if he canceled their dates (they were both had jobs to focus on and bills to pay after all). She even let the fact that he'd forgotten her birthday slide as well (who cares if she had been looking forward to spending it with him? It would always come again next year).
But the one thing she couldn't forgive was seeing him there at an outdoor cafe; lip-locked with some girl she had never seen before. Everything happened so quickly that by the time she realized what she had done, she was holding a now empty cup of glass water over her soon to be ex-boyfriend's head. She trembled for a moment, before crying out "It's over between us!"
She didn't wait for an explanation; she just turned and ran. Part of it was to get her thoughts straight, another because she was so ashamed for having fallen in love with someone who obviously didn't feel the same way.
For several blocks, she kept on going, heading to nowhere in particular. It was only when her feet and legs were throbbing in pain did she decided to take a break, stopping to stand at the top of bridge over looking the river that ran through town; the same spot in which he had first asked her out.
"You....you dummy!!!" She suddenly cried out with all her might, startling everyone around her but not seeming to care one bit. "You stupid, dumb, dummy!!"
