The Witching Hour//BYOA

Well, this was interesting. The entire hotel decided to play dress up, it seemed. She'd noticed some of the other 'guests' running from a few of the demonic beings chasing them earlier... not that she had much to worry about. She had stopped fearing things that went bump in the night a long while ago. Of course, that tended to happen when you lived ( Read more... )

Surprise me! shatteredshield October 7 2011, 05:20:28 UTC
Shannon had definitely had her share of haunted floors, and right now, she was trying to find a place where she could rest in peace. There were some growing dark circles under her eyes, and her uniform was a bit worse for the wear. However, this event had brought back another small bit of her fractured memories. Namely, an ability that she hadn't realized she had.

As another ghost advanced on her, she gritted her teeth, a glowing red barrier forming before her and sending the ghost shrieking away from her. However, using it was proving more and more taxing. Her vision swam, Shannon leaning against the wall and panting. Her fingers curled into fists, the full-figured woman pushing herself off the wall. No... She could do this. Just until she found a safe place...

Integra blinked, glancing over at the woman who had suddenly popped up in her line of vision. Well, well. This one seemed normal for the most part, which was good -- despite her current vampiric status, Integra still considered herself somewhat human herself.

Still, something was wrong with this one. She didn't seem well at all... perhaps she needed assistance. Hopefully, her own dark aura wouldn't scare the other woman off too quickly.

"...Are you quite alright?" she asked quietly, a pale, slender brow arching in question. Her crimson gaze focused only on the brunette; unlike most, her vision was better in the dark, and in this state she could tell that this one was quite attractive. How interesting.

To Shannon, the other woman looked and seemmed normal, and she was thankful for that. At her question, Shannon managed a small smile. "I'm fine, really... Just a little tired, that's all. I haven't slept in a while... Too many spooky things." The elevators and stairwells were no good; they liked to swarm there, due to the lack of exits. She fought to stay upright as she walked, determined to at least make it down this hallway.

"That's understandable, yes," she replied with a small, thoughtful hum. "Perhaps I should escort you? I can assure you, while I am around, they will not bother you."

Because they'd be too busy backing the hell away from her. Integra was scary in life, but she'd become somewhat more intimidating in death.

Shannon's relief was visible, her shoulders slumping. "I would greatly appreciate the assistance, ma'am." As she finished speaking, she blinked, confusion flooding her. This felt familiar... Had she met this woman before? Well, that could be pondered later. For now, she had to get out of this hallway.

Ohoho Shannon, you've met her before, and Integra just now realized this as well. She wasn't going to mention that for now, though. This was far too amusing as it is. Smiling slightly, but not enough to show off her fangs just yet, she offered a polite arm to the other woman. "Let me help you -- ah, which way were you wanting to go, dear?"

Graciously taking the offered arm, Shannon motioned down to a few rooms on the opposite side of the corridor. "Those rooms there... I think they're safe." She had no idea just who - or what - Integra was, instead just deeply thankful for the help she was being offered. The support was needed, Shannon blinking to keep her vision clear as they moved.

It was probably best that she didn't know who she was, or recognize her for what she was. Honestly, in all the confusion and chaos that had broken out when the hotel had changed around them, so many people had assumed she was going to maul them, and she'd been foolishly attacked.

Luckily for them, she still had her humanity for the most part, and had just... sort of let them do it. It's not like they did any damage, it was just annoying.

"Very well," she supplied, leading the poor young woman towards the rooms she'd pointed out. She opened one of the doors, peering in... it seemed quiet, but the lights were flickering, and she chuckled. "They may be safe, but we aren't alone here..."

Shannon whimpered at the flickering lights, and at this point, she was finally losing what little strength she had. "I just need to sleep..." She was physically and mentally spent, or at least that's how she felt. She was leaning a bit into the blonde woman for support, her large chest unintentionally acting as a cushion.

"Then that's what you should do, my dear," she mused, nonchalantly leading the woman into the room. Honestly, her breasts were reminding her somewhat of Seras' [not that she'd know how they FELT, mind you. The little Draculina was too nervous to actually let her that close. Not to mention she'd probably try to report her to the Queen for sexual harrassment]. Then again, Shannon's seemed somewhat larger than even Seras'.

The lights flickered for a moment, before they stopped and returned to normal, humming eerily... for now. Gently, she eased the other woman onto the bed. "There we are..."

"Thank you so much, ma'am..." The feeling of the bed against her sore legs was heavenly, and as she felt that comfort and safety against her, it was like her body was drawn to it. A sway or two later, and she had fallen on the bed, eyes closed as she finally succumbed to the sleep that had been denied her for so long. Every now and then in her sleep, she would make a sound, her arms attempting to reach for something, then stilling.

[OOC: Yes, I imagine a fast forward of sorts may be needed here. XD; Poor Shannon.]

"Of course, my dear," the former heiress cooed, watching with amusement as Shannon drifted off as soon as she hit the mattress. What an amusing turn of events; she'd had no idea that she'd actually be receiving a living meal tonight when she'd wandered up here.

A few hours passed, and Integra had kept to her promise; so long as she remained in the room, the entities that peered in had backed out just as quickly. Alucard had been her maker, after all... which meant his power ebbed through her veins, and they most certainly didn't want to feel his wrath, should she summon him to her side.

Reaching over to the young woman, she allowed her long, somewhat boney fingers to run through her chocolate tresses, crimson eyes glinting with her obvious amusement at the situation.

][ ooc; Poor Shannon indeed~ XD ][

The fingers in her hair didn't cause Shannon to stir; it was mere coincidence that led her to opening her eyes at that point. Yawning, the young woman rubbed the sleep out of her eyes, feeling much better than she had upon first entering the room. Slowly, she sat up, her brain trying to get up to speed as to what had transpired.

"Good evening, dear," she mused, leaning back in her seat as she watched the poor woman trying to wake up, both physically and mentally. Crossing her left leg over her right, the Draculina tilted her head.

"I take it you slept well, hm?"

Remembering how the woman helped her, Shannon nodded and smiled. "I did, yes." She bowed some. "Thank you for watching over me. I really do appreciate your kindness. She was still blissfully unaware of what Integra was.

"It isn't a problem, it... was my job, at one point," she replied. Hey, it was the truth, and in a way, it still WAS her job. Vampire or not, she was still loyal to her country, crown, and church, and very much still considered herself a Protestant.

"Tell me, how long have you been here, hm?"
