"A little too fucking late to be pulling me back, isn't it?" he muttered, blue-violet eyes scanning his surroundings with a critical gleam. Shrugging out of the ratty jacket he typically wore, and finding something cleaner to wear, Roi quickly bathed, dressed, and prowled along the hallways. His bare feet made nary a sound against the carpeting, and the moans of others in the rooms around him further drowned out the audible signs of his presence. The shirt, and the well-aged black leather jacket and pants further allowed him to relax away his lingering feelings of vulnerability. It was a physical and metaphorical armor for him. The sensation of sturdy leather that had protected him when he was without kevlar.
Tilting his head back, Roi sniffed the air, and then followed the direction that the alluring scent was coming from. If it was familiar to him, he had to get closer first to be able to notice. For now, he trusted his ability to fight if it turned out to be unsavory. Ah, the downside of getting older - his body was not quite as spry as it used to be, and his acute sense of smell had started to go on the decline.
At least it was still better than a human's.
