Things had been a bit awkward around his room he past few days, so today Ion had venured off on his own to see if he couldn't find a friendly face or two. he replica eventually found himself in the doorway to the music room and peered inside, hoping to find Jack there maybe. He was disappointed, but wandered in anyway, moving over to the piano to ( Read more... )

This was Ami's first venture into the music room, drawn in by the sound of a piano as she passed by. It looked like the kind of place she wouldn't mind spending some time alone, but there was already someone there. She didn't recognize him exactly, approaching from behind, but she felt an odd sense of familiarity. Ami cleared her throat before she got too close, so as not to startle the young man sitting there. "Hello. Would you mind some company?"

Pausing as he was about to play another note, Ion looked over his shoulder and smiled. "No, I wouldn't mind," he said cheerfully. "I had actually been looking for a friend I know visits here."

Not dressed in his Fon Maser robes, he could pass for any ordinary young teenager, though small and paler.

Ami took a seat on the bench beside the boy, looking him over before turning to the piano. It looked like a very well made one, but then the hotel did spare no expense.

"Perhaps they will be drawn in by the music as I was," she said, turning back to smile. "It's been a while since I've sat at a piano."

(ooc: do you mind them remembering each other?)

How've you been? frailestreplica September 21 2011, 01:34:40 UTC
"Maybe he will be. This is the only place I've really ever seen him."

Ion knew very little of instruments outside of what he learned during his time in the hotel, but he could still somewhat appreciate how well-made everything seemed.

Tilting his head, he considered her for a moment.

(ooc: I don't mind at all. ^^ He actually told his friend about her before I updated him.))

Good, bad, all over. You? mizunosenshi September 21 2011, 01:39:25 UTC
"Do you know how to play?" She watched him curiously, trying successfully to remember his name. It had been one of those scenarios the hotel liked to spring on people, cold and snowing, a little cabin. It was enough to bring some pink to her cheeks.

Ami reached out and ran her fingers over the keys, pressing down to play a C Major chord.

(ooc: I think I remember you mentioning that now.)

About the same. Focusing on the game I mod. frailestreplica September 21 2011, 01:49:56 UTC
Ion knew he'd met her, back sometime well before he went home. He'd been talking to Guy before he went home about her and...airplanes? And they'd...he blushed a little, dropping his eyes to the keys.

"Only a little. My friend taught me Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, and I've started teaching myself something from home."

((ooc; I probably id mention I was going to next chance I ot. =) Btw, I am terribly sorry dropping the ball on the thread.

Which one is it? mizunosenshi September 21 2011, 02:07:45 UTC
Had she known he'd gone home, she'd probably have asked more questions about it. There had been a number of people she knew who said they went home and came back, and she'd made it her mission to figure out how, assuming there was an answer.

"Why don't we start with that," she said, pulling her hands back to let him have free reign over the keys. "Perhaps you could share a song from home, and I can do the same."

(ooc: It's okay. I was hesitant to reply because I didn't know how to interpret it, and I felt weird asking again.)

"Okay. It could be fun." Placing his fingers on the keys, he began to play the first of the hymns his good friend Tear often used. The fonic hymns were something he loved, so he'd been teaching himself the notes by ear.

Ion would have no problems answering her if it came up. It was a common concern understandably.

(((ooc: It was just me failing. I started to poke you later, bu I was actually nervous.

The game is 3step_paradise and is still pretty small and lax.))

Ami closed her eyes and listened as he played. She didn't recognize the tune, but it was pretty. Any questions she might have had would be held until he finished playing. The last thing she wanted to do was interrupt him. She seemed to remember he was rather timid.

(ooc: I wouldn't have minded. I encourage a poke in such instances. ^^;)

I know right? I'm not even getting any. =( frailestreplica September 21 2011, 02:45:45 UTC
Timid wasn't really the word, since Ion was very friendly...and a bit too trusting. But he was shy about intimacy, and always would be.

The first was short, and he soon stopped and place his hands in his lap. "i hope you liked it," he said, smiling kindly.

((ooc: I will remember that. <3 Btw, Ami was my favorite when I was little.))))

Given the nature of their last meeting, timid was the best she could come up with. Hopefully she'd get to know him better this time around.

When the song ended, Ami opened her eyes and smiled. "That was very pretty Ion. Does it have a name?"

(ooc: Ironically she was not my favorite at first. Kind of grew on me.)

Well, Ion did recall having gotten a good feeling about her character, so he was perfectly willing to be open with her.

"It doesn't that I know of, but it's one of seven that form another," Ion said in response. "I never got to hear all seven, but they give me a nostalgic feeling. I would like to hear them all here."

Ami felt the same way, which was why she hadn't hesitated to walk into the room with him there. Having more friends, kind and gentle friends, was always welcomed.

"I see. Does anyone else here know them?" She wasn't sure if they came from the friend he was waiting for, but if it was, then all the more reason to play music and get their attention. Ami scooted closer to the piano and settled her fingers on the keys. "I'm afraid I don't know much about your world. For all I know I may have met people you know already."

"I was told that the one who knows the hymns is here, but I hadn't met her before I was sent home."

Smiling, he wondered what she might play. "Maybe you have. I would be happy to tell you more about my world...your name was Ami, wasn't it?"

Seem to be. I had quite the deluge this morning. mizunosenshi September 22 2011, 02:20:20 UTC
"Do you know her name?" It was worth a shot, though Ami couldn't clearly recall meeting any musicians who played music like that. She wouldn't have minded, preferably in a peaceful, calm sort of setting where they could actually talk.

Ami's fingers started to move over the keys, playing a simple tune that required a little sounding out here and there. It was the song from a locket her friend once owned. "Yes, my name is Ami. I'm from a place called Tokyo."

"Her name is Tear," Ion answered calmly. It didn't seem to be a common nickname for most places, but he doubted she went by Mysterica any more than she had at home.

The song was very nice, and he was reluctant to speak again before she finished. "Yes, I remember you saying that. I enjoyed our conversation that day."
