The sound of the flute had made Suboshi pause his walk down the hallway. He tensed slightly as he glanced at the doors, looking for the one the sound was coming from. "Couldn't be.." He had only seen his brother a few times since being here but any time the sound of a flute reached his ears he couldn't help but think that it was Amiboshi that was playing. It never occurred to him that there might be other people who would play.
Bolting for the door the sound was coming from, he barged into the room without even a knock. "ANIKI..." Suboshi slid to a stop though as he saw that the person playing was certainly not his twin, forgetting for once about his rule to not go past the door frame.
Naturally the door clicked closed and locked behind Suboshi, accompanying the music's abrupt silence. Trowa should have expected company, but the music had made him forget. Then it was too late.
Eyes opened, he studied the unfamiliar man, wary. Then the gaze slipped past to note the door was closed again. Lovely. Even his time away hadn't made him forget what that signified.
The stare he turned back to Suboshi was flat as he calmly set the flute on his lap. "I do not believe I am who you were looking for."
Suboshi's eye twitched as he slowly realized the major error he had just made, hearing the door click shut behind him. "Yeah..not even close." He turned his body slightly to glare at the door behind him. Even though it really was all his fault, his anger was directed towards the hotel.
"Damnit!" Suboshi growled and turned to give the door a very hard, very angry kick. Crossing his arms he kept his back to the other man for the moment. "I thought you were my brother..he plays the flute too."
Waste of energy. Trowa carefully set the flute on the table beside the bed and settled back against the headboard of the bed. He recalled there would be very little chance of acceptable clothes being available, so for the time being, he'd stay were he was and wait to see what this strange man would do. Or be forced to do, whichever came first.
The hotel was up to its usual tricks then, business as usual.
Trowa's eyes opened and stopped playing when the door opened and a familiar voice spoke up. Heero. He couldn't say if he was relieved to see the other man, or uneasy. Then again, Heero was the one with the better understanding of emotions of the two.
So instead of answering, he set the flute down and waited, watching with what he knew to be curiosity. Heero was someone he admired.
Intelligent thinking as usual. Trowa reached for the table to see if he could find anything to prop the door open, though he rather doubted he'd find anything other than the usual hotel props.
That answered part of one question. "Oh?" Trowa speech for 'how long'.
