5 Star Restaurant/Intro/Aphro

It was rare for Caro to be caught unawares lately, but here she was, fully immersed in a restaurant setting. She was moving from table to table, dressed in a pretty black skirt with a white blouse, waiting on tables. Nodding to the order, she swept towards the back and tapped in the order

Well, this place was definitely rather, well, nice. Both the world, and the restaurant. Zed was pretty lucky. Usually he stuck to a few specific worlds whenever he wanted to eat, while exploring the others in short bursts. It wasn't like most worlds actually took money from other worlds, after all

"Of course," replied Caro, nodding politely at him. "Are you new here?"

Caro smiled at him, and he seemed nice enough. "Please have a seat."

Zed smiled, taking a seat. "Yeah, I am. Just got here today. It definitely seems like a nice place. How often do you get tourists here?"

"There's a steady stream of them, people coming in from different places," admitted Caro. "Our restaurant is the best in the town, so we get a lot of people from everywhere."

"Are you from one of the neighboring towns?"

Zed shook his head. "No. I'm actually from quite far away from here. My hometown is a place called Calm. I doubt you heard of it, it was pretty tiny," Zed smiled. Okay, that was a complete lie. Calm was massive, but it sure sounded like a name of a small town. "Anyway, name's Zed. What's yours?"

"Must be. But there's a lot of towns out there I haven't heard of before," admitted Caro. "I'm Caro. Nice to meet you Zed."

Zed's smile widened a bit. Caro seemed to remind him about Roya a bit, though she looked like she dressed quite a bit more conservatively. Not that it really mattered. As far as he cared his friends could dress however they want.

Though there was something about Caro that was drawing him, wanting him to keep talking. Well, besides the whole fact that there was a few more things he needed to know about this place. "So, know any good hotels around here?"

"I do actually," replied Caro, checking her watch. "I can get off in a half an hour. Are you all right with waiting for me so I can show you to one?"

Zed blinked, keeping up his smile. "Yeah. That sounds great, actually." Saying that surprised even him a bit, but Caro was pretty nice.

... Though he might have a bit of an issue explaining his lack of luggage, but he could try figuring out what to say when the time came.

"All right. Just wait right there. Can I get you anything while waiting?" asked Caro.

"Nah, I'm good. I just finished eating, after all," Zed said, moving back a bit so that Caro could easily get up.

"All right. I'll be right out in a few."

Soon enough, Caro was dressed in a nice outfit of mostly pinks and dark reds as she nodded at him. "Sorry for making you wait. I'll show you to a nice place nearby."

Zed blinked, smiling a bit as he saw Caro in the non-work outfit. She looked pretty good in that.

"Thanks," he said as he out of his seat. "This will really help a lot. I'm not sure how long I'm going to want to stay for, and well, the hotel I'm staying in right now is a couple of towns over, so I definitely need a place to stay for the night before I head back to get my things."

There, good small lie that would explain his lack of luggage for right now.

"That's fine, I'm happy to help out," said Caro, leading the way to a nice hotel that stood a block away from the restaurant that they had exited from.

"The cost of the rent a night is pretty low, but the rooms are nice and kept tidy." added Caro, leading him inside.

Zed smiled, walking in and following her. Well, this place sure looked pretty nice from the lobby. "Well, this definitely looks like a decent place. Thanks for showing it to me," he said. "How long have you lived in this town?" he asked, trying to strike up conversation as they waited for the front desk clerk to come to them.

"Mmm about six years now," said Caro. "I moved here when I was ten and then I went to school for a while before returning. I'm just earning some money before I go back to college."
