"I hear somebody's nervoooous!" Marceline said, from under her umbrella, as she strolled up behind Katara slightly. "...are you ready for your big day?"

Katara can't help but balk at the voice behind her, turning and flushing a pretty pink. As a bride should, on her wedding day! Eyeing the woman under the umbrella, she nodded a bit. She doesn't recognize her - but then again, there were so many people in the hotel she didn't know. Perhaps she knew Zuko?

"Yes," she replied, more confidently than she felt. "I think the nerves are mostly because of these heels. I'm not great at walking in them."

Marceline giggled slightly, as she put the umbrella down long enough to glance at her. "Have you considered wearing flats or flip flops?" Marceline offered, leaning against the umbrella slightly.

Katara blinked at the woman emerging from underneath the umbrella before nodding. "They aren't very elegant, really. And the hotel was set on me wearing heels," she offered, embarrassed. Still, you have to admit, they make a nice image with the dress. And she takes a few test steps, though she's a bit wobbly, she's looking better than before!

"I think I'll manage."

"You sure? I could find you a pair of flats just in case." Marceline grinned. "..where are my manners? My name's Marceline."

Katara nodded. She was sure! After all, if she tripped .. it would only be embarrassing for a minute, and the important part about the wedding wasn't even her dress, or how she looked - it was who she was marrying and why. But it was nice of Marceline to offer.

"I'm Katara. It's nice to meet you, Marceline!"

"So, a wedding, hmm?" Marceline smiled at her. "...seems kind of odd that the hotel hasn't pumped this place full of aphro by now...curiouser and curiouser."

Katara shrugged slightly. She had been here long enough that she didn't notice the aphrodisiac in the air, though it still affected her. It used to be painfully obvious - a sickly, cloying scent .. now it was just part of life. But she appreciated the break on her wedding. After all, she would only need the aphrodisiac for later, right? For the wedding night!

"Maybe it wants us to get married," she murmured in reply. "After all, I'm not sure we'd be rushing towards this otherwise. We'd probably still want to get married! But once we go home .. we'll forget all of this. We want to make the most of it."

Zuko is the other half of this 'we' by the way.

"Sometimes the hotel does strange things, that's for sure." Marceline murmured back, moving some hair over her shoulder. "...maybe so. I suppose it is kind of nice to take a break."

In any case, she wasn't complaining. The aphrodisiacs could come later, when they were necessary. This was supposed to be a mostly solemn ceremony, even if it was a happy event. Perhaps the hotel had found its' morals and decided that aphro at a wedding wasn't exactly appropriate.

"Yes. I mean, we all get tired of it sometime!" She joked, her lips curving into a big smile. "Especially today. I think that I could live without it. Even if it meant going home and losing him; .. I could always try and find him again!"

Think nothing of it. :D
