There was a shriek that echoed throughout the long hall of the hotel. Unlike the usual ones that ring out, this was not one of pleasure. It sounded like someone who had just discovered a nasty bug or a dangerous snake in their room. Unfotunately, it was nothing that mild.
The source of the noise was a young blond woman who was barreling down the corridor. Her long hair flew like a cape behind her, and she seemed to be fighting a losing battle with keeping her cowboy hat on. In fact, her whole ensemble was cowboy style, from the plaid shirt workshirt tied above her stomach and the dirty jeans to the boots on her feet. The only thing that sat her apart from a girl you might find at a honkey tonk was the tattoo of three red apples on her exposed hip.
She seemed so engrossed in taking in surroundings and keeping her hat on that she didn't notice she was running right into someone. This resulted in her taking a messy fall, legs going out from under her as if she wasn't used to them being there.
"What tha hay...?" She mumbled, rubbing her head. "Listen, I'm mighty sorry fer runnin' into ya like th-"
Her eyes widened as she got a good look at the person she'd crashed into.
"Yer one too," she yelled, pointing an accusatory finger at them.
