Slipping in and out of unconsciousness, Sheena didn't know how long she had been left hanging where she was--minutes, hours, even days could have passed, and she wouldn't have known. Silently, Abel ghosted into the room, his eyes red as he looked around for whatever monster had left his friend here, injured and bleeding. He had caught the scent of her blood as he had wandered through the halls, and had quickly followed it here.

"Relax, Sheena, you're safe," Abel murmured. He knelt before her and cut the rope holding one leg before massaging the tight muscles to relax them. It was times like these that he wished he had some heeling magic.

Sheena hadn't heard him enter, and barely recognized him when he spoke, but he had said her name, so she knew this wasn't Envy coming back for more. Slowly, she opened her eyes just as he released her leg, only to immediately close them with a muffled whimper as the circulation was returned, sending pinpricks of pain through the limb. At the same time, she discovered that he was lifting her slightly and releasing the pressure from her wrists.

He may not have been able to cast a curing spell on her, but his presence was helping her more than he could possibly realize.

He managed to get the other leg free and massaged out before he rose to examine the chains that held her wrists.

"Can you stand?" he softly asked, doing his best to ignore the blood that stained the floor beneath her as well as her skin. Zora was going to be beside himself with worry for his mistress.

This time, Sheena was prepared for the pain that would come from releasing her leg, but still she couldn't hold back a hiss from the pain.

She couldn't face him when he stood, embarrassed that she had let herself get into this predicament. She did respond to him, however, shaking her head slightly in an "I don't know" manner. She did try, holding on to the chain above her as she placed what weight she could on trembling legs.

Zora was going to be more than worried...

He hummed and turned around before draping her over his shoulder. Her stomach was pressed against his shoulder as her legs were draped down his back. When he stood up, there was slack in the chains, and he pulled out a set of lockpicks, attacking the metal that still held her captive.

"Just relax and I'll have you back in my room, safe and secure, while I pamper you back to health."

At first, Sheena wasn't sure what was going on. The thought he was going to try to pull the chain out using her crossed her confused mind, and she started to protest and struggle. Until he stood and the pain in her wrists decreased.

She watched wide-eyed as he pulled out the small tools, and she closed her eyes in relief when he started working on the chains above her.

Softly, Abel started purring to soothe her as he managed to get first one and then the other chain off her wrists. Putting the tools away, he carefully shifted her into his arms.

"Let's go," he murmured, heading for his room where Radi and Zora had been. He'd probably move them all later to her underwater room for the comfortable familiararity, but that would happen through his room anyway.

Her arms finally free, Sheena gave a whimper as she lowered them slowly and stiffly, finally able to remove her gag. She took in great lungfuls of air, coughing slightly in the process.

She couldn't even return his purr at the moment as she tried to hold on to him, her arms dangling down his chest.

He gently moved her to cradle her in his arms, and he pressed a soft kiss to her forehead.

"Forgive me, I didn't notice the gag," he murmured, wanting to find the one that did this to her before tearing them apart. But that could wait until after she had recovered.

She looked up at him. His image was still blurry thanks to her vision being hazy, but her expression was one of understanding.

"Nothing to forgive," she said hoarsely and slowly while smiling. It was true. She probably would have done the same thing if their roles were reversed and she found him in the same condition.

"Just relax and let me care for you," he said, moving quickly but smoothly down the hallways to his room. "Radi and Zora are in my room waiting for us, and Zora is going to be most upset that you're in this state."

He brushed another kiss across her forehead before he shouldered the door to his room open.

"Pineapple," she murmured, recalling the last time he pampered her. Her eyes were drifting close in pleasure until he mentioned Zora. "Zora! Goddess! Is...he...okay?" It hurt to talk right now, but she wasn't letting that stop her. "How...long...?" How long had she been gone?

She turned, dreading what Zora's reactiom would be...

lightly kicking the door shut, he carried her into his decadent bathroom. Abel gently placed her on a soft bathmat before fetching the first aid kit and a pitcher of cool water. Then he started warm bordering on hot water filling the sunken tub

"Zora's fine. He came searching for me when you weren't in your room. You've been gone for about twelve hours, I'd estimate," he murmured, shifting back to his human form as he gently held a glass of water for her to drink. "Now stop talking until you get more liquid into you."

Sighing, she leaned against the wall, letting the chill seep into her bruises. The warm water was also inviting, and she leaned towards it, letting the steam surround her. As for Zora, she wasn't even going to ask how Zora got out. She was just glad he did. But..."Only twelve? Seemed longer..."

Then she obediently kept quiet as he held the glass to her lips. She wanted to gulp, but drank slowly, letting the cool water ease her throat.

He let her drink as much as she could before putting the glass aside and helping her into the water. He let her soak there as he stood up to remove his own clothing. A quick twist and a pin had his hair out of the way before he joined her in the water.

Yes, he was partially aroused, but that seemed to be the normal state for him any more while he was in the Hotel. He was able to easily ignore the condition his body was in as he focused on cleaning her injuries.

She managed to drink quite a lot before he pulled the glass away. She made a satisfied sound closed her eyes to enjoy the cool feeling along her throat and body. Her eyes didn't open again until she was placed in the water and the gashes in her ankles and the even deeper ones in her wrists touched the water. She made a strangled cry, lifting her wrists before gently easing them into the water and leaning back to soak.

Thankfully, her vision was still hazy, and she couldn't see his state of arousal as he climbed in. She did, however, raise an eyebrow in amusement and bewilderment. "Pampering?" she asked in a rough voice.
