Leonardo knew this wasn't the proper application of his ninja training. While he would have liked to paint a picture of it being "watching from afar," but he knew that was sugarcoating it. He was really just following- okay, stalking, someone. He did try to justify it by thinking, knowing that he would never truly face her or talk to her. After all, he looked like he did and she...
She was beautiful. He had never felt that way about someone before. More than anything, he wanted to observe her, get to know her, protect her. Sadly, the hotel shadows would always be between them.
That was until his fourth day of "observing" her.
Some rather unsavory characters decided, of all the people around, to pick her out to harass. Bad move on their part. It had only taken a few minutes of their threatening before Leo appeared from his hiding place and schooled them in manners. They would be feeling that in the morning. And the next few mornings.
Leo turned towards her, checking for any visible damage. There, of course, was no way he could just disappear now. She had seen him. The ruse was tumbling down.
"Are you alright?" he asked, gauging her reaction. He was prepared for the worst.
