Something was wrong.
But then, when wasn't something wrong? Kitty had grown up as part of a team of mutant adventurers for whom bizzare was the norm. But even considering that, she could tell something was wrong.
For one, she had no idea where she was when she woke up. She wished she could say that, in her 22 years, this was the first time this had happened. It really wasn't. Abductions, falling through floors, accidental time travel... she'd seen it all.
But right now, not only was she somewhere she didn't recognize, she was held down on a cold steel table, her costume torn in several places, and something around her neck that was just tight enough to make swallowing a little bit difficult. She rolled her eyes. "Oh, come on, like this can hold-" and then she winced in pain. Not only could she not phase, every time she tried, a wave of pain went through her body.
Okay, so. No powers. She could deal with that. She knew more than a few ways to get out of bondage, though most of them were far from pleasant. She just needed enough time alone, and enough courage to break her thumbs to get her wrists out of the restraint. Yeah, this was gonna suck a whole lot.
