The outfit was absolutely the cutest thing she ever saw! Rarely was the young troll into fashion expect for two things, sturdy and proper explorer's gear, and hats. Just like Troll Indiana Jones wore, those awesome fedoras that never quite fitted her horns properly.

But this time? This time? It sat on her head, cute as a button, with the dramatic rams head spirals poking out jauntily. It was adorable. It was cute!

She could barely be pulled away from the mirror due to that hat, but Ishtar had managed. Aradia was so delighted with the hat that she didn't notice her wings were gone as well as her soft and satiny tunic. In replacement she wore a quarter sleeve safari t-shirt, long fitting khaki pants, a backpack, and a whip. Not that froo-froo pink leather whip but a sturdy and usable whip to swing around on!

Needless to say, Aradia was in heaven as she followed her friend to the site.

Ishtar was similarly kitted out. Contrary to her usual almost-not-there skirt and top, she was now dressed in practical khaki pants (close-fitting - there were likely going to be some tight squeezes inside the site, and she didn't want to deal with torn pants on top of everything else) and a matching tank top. Normally she'd have gone with a T-shirt, but...actually, that was a lie. Tank top was just fine by her ( ... )

Aradia had fussed at the outfit Ishtar wore because while Fashion is Stupid, Flarp is not. It was serious business and the fact the outfit looked nothing like what archeologist would wear was made clear.

Of course, Aradia had a few things too. A simple handgun, spare ammo, ratios and water, glow sticks, a Swiss army knife, her walkie-talkie, and graphing paper. All in a day’s work and perfectly suited for what was about to go on.

She paused in mid step, crouching next to Ishtar for a moment to study the three men and the woman. She took some comfort there was a woman but the body armor would be… a problem.

Aradia glanced at the golden eyed woman, Let’s talk for now.

Nodding, Ishtar slowly crept out, hands in the air. Four assault rifles swung as one to track her, pausing when she kept up her gesture of parley. She stayed where she was, her expression, for once, completely serious.

"...Yeah?" one of the guards called out, still aiming, but with finger off the trigger.

"We want to pass. Will you let us?"

"No one gets in unless the boss says yes. Heh...he don't say yes."

A pause, then the woman spoke up, her voice hard-edged.

"Anyone with you?"

"...One."

Noting the implication of the guard's rifle gesturing, she turned her head and called behind her. "Aradia, let's talk."

Aradia winces as she hears the sounds of feet scraping and she glances over the stone that is her hiding place. The expression on her friend's face frightens the young troll but she trusts the older woman. Despite what they're lacking, Ishtar's had millenniums to deal with people.

Hearing her name called, the young troll stood up. She carefully walked over to the four, knowing her appearance was odd despite the attractive features she had to humans. Her figure was subtle compared to Ishtar's though she figured out how to walk to make her hips more appealing. Her dark hair and large strange but luminous eyes were attractive enough, she supposed.

“And what are we going to talk about?” She asked as she eyed the guards.

"You turning around and walking away and not trying anything funny," the first guard said, not moving from his spot. "And don't make us waste bullets. Comes out of our pay."

Ishtar blinked in confusion. "...Out of your pay? Your boss charges you for ammunition?"

The guard next to the first rolled his eyes, as if to reprimand him for opening his big mouth. "...Yeah, yeah. Low benefits, low pay, gets lower whenever he thinks of a good excuse, and hell if there ain't shit to do here. Lemme guess, you gonna offer us a deal?"

"Well, we're not exactly rich ourselves, but..."

Leaning over to Aradia, Ishtar whispered, "You seem eager enough. Wanna fuck them to get by?"

Aradia looked startled at that confession. Why be in such a business when there were people who paid better. Of course sometimes people who paid better checked in people's backgrounds more. But finding out you have a killer in your payroll shouldn't be that hard to deal with mercenary groups. Of course... they couldn't be trusted...

"People don't shoot at pretty things." Aradia replied right back, "We could do that..."

Nodding and smiling at Aradia, Ishtar turned back to the guards, putting on an alluring smile and cocking her hip to the side. "...what would you ladies and gentlemen say to a little trade? You let us pass, we fuck you four silly."

...

The guards blinked, one of them preemptively checking the two archaeologists out before getting into a huddle for discussion. Too quiet to hear more than a word or two, and one of them stayed up to watch, just in case someone tried something. After what seemed like an eternity, the group broke the huddle, the woman speaking as the four began to strip.

"You two're lucky. Hell if we get paid enough for this shit anyway, and we're horny as fuck on top of it. You'd better make this good, though."

((OOC Comment: Oh, and were you gonna put something up in th OOC comm?))

Aradia just smiled pleasantly at them all, lips quirked in a smile as she listened to her friend totally rock on a diplomacy check. When Ishtar was done telling them her ultimatum, Aradia struck a similar pose, hand on hip and eyes sultry.

She couldn't help but giggle as she watched the huddle and shared an expression with Ishtar as she watched. The men had to be straight, they were all appealing to average and the woman had to prefer women because she was attractive. Respectful and low paid guards, who would have thunk?

“Oh, we're amazing.” Aradia promised as she walked up to the guards, “It's really an excellent trade.”

(OOC: In due time! I wanted to get this started before seeking an employer! ;D)

As if to emphasize that statement, Ishtar began to unbuckle her harness, setting it aside to reveal the bits of her figure once hidden by pouches and pockets. An appreciative whistle issued forth from one of the guards, who was already naked and showing off a rather impressive frame. Whatever the lack of pay, he'd gotten quite a lot of exercise in, to be sure.

"Okay, layin' some ground rules," he said, "First off, you'll be fuckin' us. We-" he paused here to gesture at his fellow henchpeople, "-ain't fuckin' each other. As little of a shit as we give about our jobs right now, we're looking to stick to the henching bylaws. No office romance. Just complicates things ( ... )
