Ion was showering when Wisely first heard it. It took him a moment to realize that there was indeed the sound of something other than him in the room. There it was again! It was a rustling sound, coming from something under the bed. He kneeled down and pulled the sheets up to look. He saw something blink at him before it shot forward. He dropped the sheet, scooting back but it came out, pouncing on him.
"Wah!" He stared at the kitten in his lap. This wasn't his. He'd never seen it before in his life. There was only one explanation for it's presence, then. No wonder Ion had brought him back some ice cream, he'd been trying to butter him up.
"Ion!" He called, picking up the kitten gingerly and heading towards the bathroom. "Ion, can you explain something to...me..." He opened the door just as the little replicator was stepping out of the shower. Oops. His cheeks flushed a little and he quickly turned around, shutting the door.
