Maria was new to the hotel, but was not unfamiliar with the design of it. Even with multiple floors and places to explore, the young maid was working her way into the library, intent on giving it a nice dusting.
"Is anyone here?" she called out, bringing with her a mop, bucket and broom, all for the purpose of making the hotel's slightly used library spik and span.
Mary steps out from behind the desk, finding the source of the voice. "Yes, I'm here - I'm not sure if there are any patrons about, but in case there are, please keep your voice down so to not disturb them." Her tone is quiet, even, and pleasant. She didn't like to be reprimanding as a first impression, but rules are rules.
Maria nodded, smiling at her as she held up her mop. "I'll just be a minute then," she said politely. "I'll be cleaning up the hotel library while there's a little time left over in the day."
Mary gave the other a smile, nodding back at her. "Ah, alright, thank you, miss. It's quite appreciated. Things do get a bit...dusty." There's a twinge of sadness in her tone. Even though the library was magnificent, it didn't see much use, short of a private area to do ...things.
"I understand. I will just be a minute. Oh, my name is Maria. A pleasure to meet you." She nodded at Mary, smiling gently as she took up the dusting broom and placed it to the floor. "I'll get the front started in a minute."
"A pleasure then," said Maria with a smile. Taking her broom, she began to run it across the floor, getting out the dust that was piling up. "A shame how this library is so unkempt," she said in a low soft tone to the librarian. "There's far too many books in here, and it could get too musty."
Maria nodded. "Yes, but given the, erm, focus of this establishment, it is unsurprising that it goes uncared for." She frowned, then fished a hand duster out from behind the counter, working on shelves nearby Maria - she could use the company, and it was a lot to do for just one maid.
"A couple of days," said Maria, cleaning up. "I hadn't really noticed until I had stumbled in on a couple. I sometimes get absorbed into cleaning that I forget things like this."
Which was, to be honest a slip of her usual observant self, something Maria felt a little embarrassed about.
Mary had to wonder about the decor of the place Maria came from if she didn't notice until walking in on someone. The thought did stir a quiet giggle from her, though, as the idea was just a touch amusing. "Oh dear, that must've been quite the wake-up call."
"I woke up on the beach floor. Thankfully there were some kind souls out there to explain things..."
Well to be fair there was a lot of weird rooms in the Sanezin household. "It was. I was quite surprised to be honest, because the floor I woke up on was almost a replica of ours."
Though seeing a painting of her ojousama and Hayate wound in passion was enough to tell her she wasn't home.
Maria smiled, rubbing her head a little. She knew that kind of blush. It was a blush of "I did something horribly naughty" and such and so forth. "I'm glad though that you've made it through it then."
She dusted a little more and sighed. "There really is no end to this room, is there?"
Mary nods, sighing herself as she brushed some dust off of her suit. "It seems rather endless - I never thought they could collect so many books about such things..."

"That's good then. You were able to adjust."

Or it could be heartbreaking, to try and make do with an imitation.
"Y-yes, it was...quite the adjustment," she answers, her face tinting red as she remembered what all (and who all) went down that day.
