This place was unholy. That was the only perfect word to describe it. Foul, disgusting, insulting, and a plethora of others would do in a pinch, but unholy was the most applicable. Agrias Oaks, Holy Knight of the Lionsguard, was a devout woman and a virgin besides, and this den of filth and depravity was nothing short of hell for her.
And like any good hell, it had its demons. They looked nearly human, the creatures that fell upon her, men and women twisted by dark powers into something both more than and far less than normal. They may have expected her to roll over and capitulate, to be taken against her will and turned into a plaything, but they underestimated her. Slaying the creatures was impossible, they regenerated too fast, but through diligence and sheer force of skill, Agrias managed to use her holy blade to render the beasts unconscious in the fight of her life in a large lobby in this filthy hotel.
She stood victorious at last, but only barely. The creatures had less savory goals than simply killing her, so her injuries were slight, but her clothing and armor were in shambles. To her credit, she had managed to keep her decency save for one breast being bared where her armor had been torn off completely. Panting harshly, she sheathed her blade and turned to leave this depraved room, but as fate would have it, she wasn't free yet.
