Satan, strange though her name may have been, was nothing if not loyal. Her current master had called for her, meaning that they required a bit of release, a way to channel their frustration and anger. They could be rough with her in a way they couldn't with her sisters. More than that, she enjoyed such treatment, not minding the scratches and ( Read more... )

Her master, however, was not in the room.

In fact, a familiar, and rather befuddled face greeted her-- along with feline ears and bulky clothes still far too large for him.

"Uryu?"

There was an impression of instinctive wariness about the Furniture as his red eyes alighted on the Stake of Wrath-- He enjoyed the company of all the Stakes, of course. He less enjoyed being the focus of their attention as they all smothered him and pulled him in different directions. But stronger than the sense of wariness was a sense of belief, and, in fact, Sakutaro took a step closer to Satan. She was, at least, a familiar face in this unfamiliar place.

"Satan-nee-chan? Where are we? And why are you wearing that instead of your uniform...?"

There's a few blinks as Satan registers who it is she's seeing, and suddenly, a big smile comes over her face. "Kyaaa, Sakutaro~!" As she glomps him in a hug, more than a few of her master's brainwashing sessions go effectively down the tube. She could never forget the cute boy, Maria's best friend, companion and cuddle toy for her and her sisters. More than that, he's stable, a solid presence in Satan's warring mind. This was just the backup her true self needed. She held him close, anger at bay for the moment. "How did you get here?"

Oh Thank God I was so worried this would squick you or something. stakepimp March 31 2011, 06:50:47 UTC
"Uryu!"

Even if it's just Satan, rather than all Seven of the Stakes, Sakutaro is a bit squished by the Stake of Wrath's rampant enthusiasm. When she gets carried away, he thinks, she can forget her own strength a bit, he thinks. Still, as best he can, he hugs her back, his arms wrapping about her to return the hug.

"I'm not sure, Uryu... I don't think Maria called me here, or she'd be here, too... How did you get here...?"

NEVER though this may veer more into 'cute' territory... scoldthestakes March 31 2011, 06:55:39 UTC
Collecting herself, Satan straightened up, crossing her arms over her chest. "My sisters and I have been imprisoned by the owner of this manor, somehow. We've all been brainwashed, to a degree. Your arrival here seems to have broken mine, though; it should help my sisters, as well." She was truly happy to see Sakutaro; maybe with him her, her sisters could break free of the brainwashing and fight back.

ROFL I am okay with just letting the thread go where it will. stakepimp March 31 2011, 07:01:29 UTC
"Uryu... Brainwashed?" Sakutaro didn't really understand what the Stake meant by that word-- washing was generally a good thing, though washing a brain sounded a little icky-- but the way she talked about it made it sound like a bad thing, so he supposed it had to be. If something bad was happening to the Stakes and he could help them, even if he didn't really understand how he had done it, then he would, without hesitation.

"Sakutaro will help, uryu!" He offered a smile up at the pale-haired Satan, and though he was still confused as to what was going on... "I really am glad you found me before those bad people could find me instead, uryu!"

"It means that you're forced to do things you don't want to do." It was the simplest way to explain it.

After he speaks, Satan smiles again. "Thank you, Sakutaro." With a sigh, she sits down on the bed, feeling dizzy. A side effect of the brainwashing being broken. "When I get my hands on the one who did this to us...!"

The shorter Furniture resisted the impulse to frown, though his smile did fade a little. It didn't sound like it had anything to do with washing a brain! But he nodded. It did sound bad, and he knew that Satan wouldn't lie to him-- tease him, maybe, but this was too strange for it to all be some elaborate prank by the sisters.

Climbing up onto the bed beside Satan, he looked at her a little curiously. She looked... tired. Drained. It scared him a little. She and the Stakes had always seemed so strong to him, compared to him. (She also looked angry, but that was nothing new.) It must have been a very scary person, for whoever it was to do this to her and the other sisters. "You should rest first, uryu, if you're tired. You need to take care of yourself first before you start fighting," he pointed out, looking up at her with wide, worried eyes.

Satan would have snapped at the suggestion, if it was anyone but Sakutaro suggesting it. "I suppose you're right..." Sighing again, she laid down on her side on the bed. But she didn't dare close her eyes; what if she fell asleep and fell back under the brainwashing? She couldn't let that happen.

Sakutaro smiled in relief to see the Stake giving herself a break. He knew she was angry-- not just that she was because it was her nature, but that she had every right to be-- but he didn't want that to cloud her better judgment. Without their masters here... Furniture had to take care of each other, didn't they?

And so, like the stuffed doll he was, he laid down on the bed, too, facing Satan, and, placing an arm around her waist, drew close. He had been made for this sort of thing, really.

For a long moment he stayed quiet before speaking again. "Uryu... Satan-nee-chan... You never did say why you were wearing that instead of your uniform... was that because of the brainwashing, too?"

A hand reached up to gently pet Sakutaro between the ears. "That's right. Otherwise, I would be wearing my uniform right now." She doesn't mind Sakurtaro cuddling up to her; that was what he was made for, after all. That and she kind of needed it right now. The mind control had affected her wholly, and she felt exhausted from the inner fight she had unknowingly been going through. A part of her was telling her not to be so comfortable, to get over it and power through anyway, but Sakutaro also had a point; she could not get revenge if she wasn't at full capacity, on all accounts.

"Uryu..." The feline Furniture purred as Satan petted him, leaning his head up into her hand a little. Gradually, though, he began to squirm a little, his cheeks a bit red. "Satan-nee-chan... Your petting is making me feel a bit funny, uryu..." He was being a bit vague, but, by the uncertain note in his voice, Sakutaro didn't really understand why he felt 'funny'.

"Funny?" Of course, Satan's first instinct is to put a hand to his forehead, checking for fever. But could furniture even get sick? It was unheard of, but then again, if it was possible to brainwash the Seven Stakes of Purgatory...

He did feel a little warm under her palm... but not enough for him to be burning up, not enough for him to seem sick. "Funny, uryu," he repeated, his expression troubled as he tried to find the words for it. "Like I feel nervous even though I'm not. My tummy feels weird and I feel tense. Like squirming."

And that's when it hits her. Arousal. Drugs. That damn hotel. Fighting back her anger, Satan wraps her arms around Sakutaro and holds him close. "Try to ignore it; you're too young to know about it right now." If Asmo was too young for it, then so was Sakutaro.

"Uryu..." That didn't sound good. "I'll try, Satan-nee-chan," he promised, snuggling close, though for some reason that didn't help get rid of the funny feelings. "... Am I sick?" She had checked his forehead, after all. he didn't think Furniture could get sick, but Satan had been Furniture far longer than he had, so she knew more than he did. Then again... If he was just sick, she wouldn't have told him he was too young to know... What was it, he wondered?

"Good." Satan fought a sigh as she kept her arms around him. There was no way she could explain to him what the hotel did, or relieve him of the symptoms. Because, really, it was Sakutaro. She decided right then and there; this place was a true monster. It made Lady Beatrice appear a saint in comparison.
