Head raised until the full spray of the shower hit her face, Squall took in a careful deep breath. Accidentally drowning because she inhaled water during a shower wasn't high on her list of possible deaths. Instead she focused more on the soothing sensation of having the dirt and grim being washed away from her hair and skin.
It wasn't often she found a hotel with a rainfall shower head and an separate hand shower head with multiple functions. With what little funds she had left, she was usually stuck with plumbing that spurted out cold ice water in spurts rather than anything resembling actual rain. How long has it been since I actually had a hot shower, anyway?
She ignored the heavy weight of the wet leather collar around her neck. She gotten used to wearing the damn thing, finally. It was one thing to constantly wear her Griever pendant around her neck but to wear the thin black collar 24/7? That was something else entirely. Even if she needed to keep it on always. Hard to beleive something this simple might be able to...
Squall scoffed, shaking her head before running her bare hands through brown hair.
The shower was large, probably large enough to fit at least three people comfortably; possibly even four without trouble. The glass wall stretched along the width of the bathroom, the door only made up half of that. On the stone bench to her left, the complimentary shampoo and conditioner sat. The smell was too fruit, too exotic for her tastes but she wasn't going to complain. They were free and Hyne knows they might actually better than the cheap 50 gil stuff she bought last time.
With her back to the door and the loud spray of the water, Squall didn't hear the door of the bathroom open or the footsteps of anyone approaching. Even if she looked, the glass wall and door were covered with condensed steam, obscuring any view she had of the intruder. It wasn't until she felt a draft of cold air hit her back did Squall turn.

Female!Squall is now a Sorceress who may or may not indulge her impulses more often, especially if she gets annoyed enough to want to hurt someone. She'll have vague memories of encounters had previously but don't count on being remembered fully.
