The heat of the water had fogged the small bathroom, air heavy with the scent of blackberry and apple. Venus inhaled the scent deeply as she closed her eyes and tilted her head back under the shower's spray to soak her hair, fingers easily dragging through the thick red mane. A content sigh left her. It was perfect. This was just what she needed after a long day. She began to hum quietly, the tune aimless, created from nothing. With her eyes closed and mind wandering, she wasn't the least bit aware of the fact that she was no longer alone.
