The Harem || BYOAphro

If his dismissive, uninviting posture wasn't enough to make the men being brought to him for approval to his future harem shrink back in fear then certainly the cold, ruinous gaze he leveled each with was. He didn't care to indulge himself in the iniquitous dalliances other royals seemed to live their daily lives by. It was pathetic. He had far ( Read more... )

Captured prince from fallen country as a part of the harem, y/n? :D; king_of_fanelia January 31 2011, 05:05:10 UTC
The next man led out had his hands tied behind his back, being essentially dragged out from the line to be presented to Sanzo. The boy in question took one look at the prince before him, ruby red eyes studying him for a few brief seconds before he scoffed and turned away. It didn't seem as if the guard escorting him appreciated that though, kicking the boy's legs out from underneath him and barking the order to show respect to the prince.

Van didn't say a word (aside from having grunted when he fell), instead looking away with a light flush on his face. He didn't have to take this... Not from them.

[[So aphro can be rising, he's fifteen (hope that isn't... too bad, but that's his canon age), I read your prefs and am okay with everything there. I just hope Sanzo doesn't mind that Van's going to be on the feisty side. ^^; Even just CR is awesome.]]

It wasn't until the guard reprimanded Van that Sanzo opened his eyes, a single brow lifting. He'd been planning to ignore everyone else brought in until there was no one left and he could go about the rest of his day freely, but this one was too curious to just ignore. "Your name?" he prompted, speaking for the first time since the whole ordeal had begun.

[OOC: That all works for me. *nodnod*]

The entire court went silent at that, but Van simply glared up at Sanzo. He took his sweet time in answering too, and it wasn't until that impatient guard bopped him on the head again that he spoke, "All right! My name is Van."

This was humiliating, and that really was the only word for it. He turned away the moment he was done speaking, and if he didn't know the guard wasn't right there and watching him like a hawk he would have tried to get to his feet again.

If he was irritated by the pointed delay in a reply, it didn't show. He merely watched Van. He was aware of the court's baited silence. Almost painfully aware, as attention shifted between himself and Van expectantly. He drew out the silence a bit longer before speaking again. "And why are you bound?"

"He got too violent with the guards earlier, trying to escape. We should have just locked him up for that," The guard holding onto Van's chain answered, Van just glaring back at the man before he turned back to Sanzo. Wait, Sanzo... He recognized him. The heir to the kingdom that had taken his over! The teenager winced and flushed more, grunting as he was pulled to his feet but, for the time, holding his head high.

"My apologies your highness, it's obvious this one belongs in the dungeon instead of the imperial harem."

Sanzo decided to ignore the fact that the guard had answered the question. An answer was an answer, after all, though he would have preferred to hear it from Van.

"Wait." He stood then, rising smoothly and stepping down until he was standing in front of Van. Reaching out, he touched his hair, letting the dark locks slip through his fingers. "Deliver him to my personal chamber."

Typos. They suck. king_of_fanelia January 31 2011, 17:39:02 UTC
Although the touch threw him off, what really made Van surprised was what Sanzo had said next. He was tugged again though and nearly stumbled before he started to follow the guard in front of him, glancing back at Sanzo again before he was out of sight completely. It didn't take too long for him to be stripped of all clothing that wasn't needed for modesty's sake, and the boy placed in Sanzo's chamber.

He frowned at hearing the soldiers outside of the room discussing the apparently 'odd' choice before he started to look around, only sparing the rope around his wrists a glance while he started to search for something sharp. Having his hands bound at the wrists wasn't exactly comfortable after all, and he didn't know how much time he would have before Sanzo arrived.

Yes, they really do. :c unorthodoxish February 1 2011, 00:51:36 UTC
He wouldn't have much time at all. Having apparently chosen someone, he was allowed to end the viewings for that day (though unfortunately, there would always be more another day). If Van was paying enough attention he'd have heard the guards chatter abruptly cut short before the door opened and Sanzo stepped in, making sure to close it behind him.

His attention was caught and Van stood, glancing at the door and Sanzo before it. He was silent for a few moments, thinking about the words he would use when he spoke next, "I suppose this is where I'm supposed to ask about what you would have me do."

The tone he used betrayed him and his intent, saying that Van had no intention of simply obeying the other man or of making things easy. Although, was he really trying to hide it?

Sanzo took a moment to look Van over once more, a bit more thoroughly now that he didn't have eyes scrutinizing his every move. Moving further into the room, he sat on the edge of the bed. "Actually, this is where I ask if you would rather be in the dungeon, in chains. At least in here I can undo your hands..." Violet gaze flicked to his wrists then, to see if he'd already undone the bindings himself or not. He had expected him to at least try.

The scowl Van wore disappeared into a surprised look, and although he was still suspicious of the other man he approached and stood before Sanzo. He was still out of arm's reach and could retaliate if he needed to, but it was better than the earlier blatant defiance he had been planning to show.

"... I can't say I would."

[OOC: Totally fine! I'm cool with back-tagging. =) I'm just glad you're still interested!]

His brow lifted again at the pointed distance Van had left between them. "You'll need to turn around, unless you'd rather I reach around you." There was something vaguely teasing about his tone.

He stood there for a few seconds, studying Sanzo before he turned around. He never stopped watching the other man though, glancing over his shoulder and almost not even blinking. It wasn't as if he knew if Sanzo knew who he was or not... The name 'Van' wasn't much to go off of, and just because he knew Sanzo's face didn't mean the other would be able to identify him as well.

Sanzo didn't have a clue who he was dealing with - and he didn't particularly care either. Ignoring how closely Van watched him, he deftly untied the ropes, pulling them off and tossing them somewhere off to the side rather carelessly. "Do your wrists hurt?"

[OOC: Sorry for suck responding time. I got busy.]

"No, they don't... Thanks," Van mumbled as he brought his wrists to his frong, rubbing where the rope had been bound against his skin and frowning at the marks there. Those weren't permanent, but why was Sanzo taking the time to free him? He had to wonder just what the other ruler was thinking, but chances were that he would soon find out.

[As you can probably tell, I'm no better. :P]
