Even with all of the new themed floors recently revealed by whatever intelligence was behind the hotel, Reyna still hadn't expected to stumble across something like this. The odd-looking door that she had been too curious about to pass up had revealed a stunningly beautiful landscape with enormous coniferous tress dotting snow covered-hills and mountains looming majestically in the distance. The sight was quite breathtaking, and almost before she knew what she was doing Reyna had stepped through the door and begun to walk towards a nearby copse of trees, her boot heels crunching softly in the snow.
With the sun blazing down and no discernible wind the weather was surprisingly mild, and even dressed as she was in little more than jeans and a button-blouse Reyna only felt the barest of chills. Drawn in by the beauty of her surroundings and deciding that there were enough landmarks for her to find her way back easily enough, Reyna decided to do a little exploring.
She quickly lost track of time, and it was only when a large cloud bank rolled in to block the sunlight and rub her of its warmth that Reyna realized just how long she'd been gone. With goosebumps rising on her skin she turned around and started heading back. She picked up her pace when the first wet, heavy snowflakes started to fall, but with the exit nowhere in sight she began to worry that she had dawdled too long. That worry because a frightening certainty when what had started out as gentle flurries quickly grew into a full-blown blizzard.
Hopelessly lost in the blinding white of the storm, Reyna gave up on her hopes of escape and focused instead on survival. If she didn't find shelter soon she would quite probably freeze to death. That distressing thought was still forefront in her mind when she heard what sounded like someone - or something fighting their way through the wind-driven snow somewhere close by.
"H-Hello?" she called out through chattering teeth. "Is s-someone there?"
