[Well, there was another reason he went alone so far.

The "monster" he was supposed to take down had to be brought back alive, notably because she was famous for terrorizing maidens with such horrifying evils such as offering them aphrodisiac laced cookies and Zombie Rider DVDs. Later research spotted a weakness of hers, and she'd be more easily taken down by the Dark Hunter's specialties.

Right now, he'd find her sniffing flowers in a small field. She was not yet aware of his presence.

[The fiend.

As Kellen wandered aimlessly through the labyrinth, he came upon the field in which his quarry rested. What he was not expecting, however, was for said quarry to be what looked like a young girl. In fact, such was the surprise that he wasn't even aware she was his prey.]

Oi, little girl! This place is awful dangerous fer a kid. Shouldn't yeh be runnin' along home?

[She looked like a girl at first glance. It was her impish face, after all. But once she stopped and looked up at him, Konoka was anything but childish in looks. Her short kimono hid no part of her figure, outside of maybe the upper part of her legs. Ram-like horns grew from her head, and she had a white tail--much like an albino demon.]

[Stepping closer made these traits apparent, and Kellen's eyebrows knitted as he realized his error.]

Yeh wouldn't happen to be the 'horrible fiend' that's been harassin' the girls from town, would yeh?

"Alice....?" a voice calls out as a bell rings. A cat boy is wondering the halls not knowing where the hell he is. As he looks around he doesn't seem to notice the blue haired man, until he smells his scent. "Who are you? Are you an intruder?" he asks while tilting his head.

Kellen stopped abruptly at the sound of the voice, and whirled to face its owner. What strange ears... was he a denizen of the forest?

"Depends on who's askin'. If yer a monster, then yeh, I guess I am."

"Cheshire is a chain.... This is not Cheshire's territory..." He approaches with caution.

"Are you a threat?" he asks in a blunt tone.

"Yer lost?" Kellen raises an eyebrow, unconsciously tightening his grip on the whip.

"Whether I'm a threat er not depends entirely on how yeh answer my question. Have yeh been attackin' any humans lately?"

As Kellen makes his way through the labyrinth, there is the occasional trill of laughter or the whistling of a merry tune. It leads him along, should he choose to follow it, until he comes across a clearing barred off with a gated white fence. The little gate sits half-open, and beyond that a table with a perfect white cloth sits in the grass, covered with all the makings of teatime.

And on that table is also a small slim man, laying back and waving his legs back and forth in front of him; since Kellen sees him from the man's left side, his eyes seem completely covered by that mop of white hair. The area seems perfectly serene, without a hint of monster activity, but Kellen might recall the quest said to be cautious of oddity and riddles.

What a strange turn of events. Given the circumstances, Kellen had every right to be suspicious of the odd scene before him. Few people went into the labyrinth alone (Excluding himself at this moment, because he knew that doing so was a stupid idea, but did it anyway). It was too dangerous to do so, and especially for something as innocuous as a picnic.

"Yeh do realize where yeh are, right?" The blue-haired young man scoffed as he approached.

The man went stock-still when Kellen spoke, one leg in the air and one half-folded in front of him, his arms crossed over his chest as a slow grin spread across his face.

In a flash, he was on his feet- hopping briefly in a feigned loss of balance- and then he whirled to face Kellen fully, waving one of those long white sleeves of his in greeting. "In a twisty-turny maze of a labyrinth, sir! Just the same as you. Care to take a break for tea?"

It was official, he'd run into a crazy person. Maybe if he left, this guy would leave him alone...

"Tea's not really my thing. I hope yeh realize that this place is crawling with creatures that would love nothin more that to bite yer face off..."
