Ah~ Waking up in a place like this was entirely unexpected. J wasn't sure exactly how he'd arrived, but the only thing he could remember was waking up in a room that was certainly not his. And even though none of his comrades were around, and his settings were completely unfamiliar, his composure didn't waver in the slightest. Were there cameras ( Read more... )

Actually, there was; there's a man with a very long blond plait currently sprawled on his bed, books dumped haphazardly all around him. Jack had the tendency of taking the first open room he saw, because he really didn't feel like a) walking into locked doors, and b) walking into doors that are supposed to be locked.

He's reading a book - Marquis de Sade, how fitting - and when there's a stranger at the door he just looked up, stared at him for a moment, before going back to his book.

The moment J nudged the door open, he hesitated -- only slightly -- at seeing that there was indeed someone there. However, it wasn't the type of person he expected. Where were the police or THIRD-i, trying to take him away? Or so-called, self-declared rivals who would have loved to have been pointing a gun at his face, now that he didn't have his comrades around to protect him.

This person didn't look like an immediate threat, and J didn't have anything else to occupy his time with. Technically, this was also his room, at least to him. So he saw no problem with continuing to stay in it.

J shut the door behind himself and crossed the room, walking up closer to the bed to lean over and see what the other was reading. The usual smile crept on to his face before he turned and took a seat in a nearby chair, crossing one leg over the other.

He didn't bother speaking yet. It was always more fun to see if someone else would make the first move.

Jack looked back up at him, again, once he had seated himself, before rolling over and holding the book over his face.

"It's always nice to have company, don't you think?" He asked, brightly, eyes still trained on his book.

"Ah, yes, yes. I have to agree." Sitting around in a room full of people who were always doing their own thing was a regular day for J. Video games, card games, computers... His comrades did whatever they pleased, and he was perfectly content to just sit around in the back and watch them. However, it didn't make him a very good conversation partner, and though the other was reading, it would be rude not to introduce himself more if they were going to be alone together, in the same small space.

For now, J motioned to the book the other was holding. "Any particular reason for your choice of reading material, or just ... curiousity~?"
