"Well, hello there, aren't you just a pretty little thing." The smirk was practically written all over the woman's tone as she stopped her newest victim in the hallway. She was an older woman who appeared to be in her late thirties, with a few wrinkles around her eyes-- laughter lines she would have called them --and obviously not as young as half

Kata smirked deviously in response, oh goody, this one was fun. It was so dull when they just blushed and flailed for responses, this one at least had a little fire in his belly. She was just about to make a lewd response when a phaser blast (Stun rather then kill for now) knocked a hole in the wall next to where she had been standing only moments ago. Kata rolled her eyes. There was only a few people she knew capable of doing that.
Pasha didn't reholster her weapon, aiming it directly at her head this time as she turned the corner and walked towards the pair, glaring sternly. "Kata." She greeted stonily. The woman smirked. "Pashachka, how lovely to see you again. Your aim could do with some work." Lyon was being ignored for the moment. Her mother needed to be dealt with first and he was about to get a first hand demonstration of Russian temperments.

"Uh, Pasha? Are you sure you should be pointing that thing at your sister's head like that?" Lyon had no idea what was going on, but one thing he did know was that he wasn't too keen on people waving around guns around that could take a big chunk out of the wall like that. So he quickly decided that is was in his own best interests o do what he could to help defuse the situation.

Kata then took that opportunity to wink at Lyon before smirking as she added. "No, little Pasha and I are related, but not sisters."
"This witch is my mother." The contempt in her voice was clear and the insult to her height only made the girl want to punch the woman more. "She's also the mother to sewen sons, all of whom she abandoned. Seen any of Dimitri or Piotr recently, Kata?" She practically hissed. "You won't be aware that Thomas got married either, will you?" There was a lot of anger and hurt in her voice and she deliberately stepped in front of Lyon. "And you can't hawe this one." She scowled.

"Sorry Pasha, I didn't know." Lyon put what he hoped was a calming hand on Pasha's shoulder as she moved to stand between her mother and himself. If the situation hadn't been so tense Pasha's oddly possessive posture and the implication that he belonged to her would have been amusing. Lyon didn't feel like laughing just at the moment though. "If I had I wouldn't have tried to, ah..." Lyon snapped his mouth shut before he made things any worse for himself. "Maybe I should go. You two obviously have a lot to catch up on and I'd just be a third wheel..."

"Isn't it about time you fucked somebody of your own age for a change? And giwe me that back!" She snatched the phaser energy pack from her mother's hand, jamming it back into her weapon before begrudgingly putting it back into her holster. It would be troublesome if she shot her and actually hurt her, Pasha disliked the woman but she had still given birth to her after all.
Lyon was being thoroughly ignored for the moment, neither dismissed or ordered to stay. Well, apart from Kata, she had yet to stop smirking at him. "And he is not my--" She paused her vehement denial. Lyon was just...Lyon. Somebody she fucked occasionally without any strings attached. But there was no way she was letting her have him. "Fine! He's my boyfriend, so leawe him alone. You still owe me one from the time you stole Irina." Pasha's hands were firmly on her hips as she tried to stare down the older woman, while silently praying that Lyon wasn't taking this to heart.

"Yup, I'm her boyfriend," Lyon confirmed brightly, giving Pasha a quick hug and kissing the top of her head. "Watch this babe," he murmured against her hair before straightening up and gazing intently at Kata. He slipped into her mind and immediately went to work on her memories, his brow furrowed in concentration. The first thing he did was alter the memory of their encounter just a moment ago so that he was resisting her advances instead of welcoming them. Once that was done he implanted a memory of Pasha informing Kata that she had a new boyfriend named Lyonel Argeneau. His head was pounding by the time he was done, but hopefully it would be worth it.
"It's nice to meet you Mrs. Checkov," Lyon said as politely as possible, moving to stand next to Pasha with one arm draped possessively over her shoulder.
[OOC: Let me know if Lyon's attempts to mess with Kata's head aren't successful. I'm just assuming that she's a normal Human with no unusual mental abilities and can't do anything about it. Also, I don't know if it was on purpose or not, but I love the reference to Pavel Checkov's old flame from The Way to Eden. :D]

Both mother and daughter looked confused for a moment, Kata snapping out of it first and giving a small laugh before clapping her daughter on the shoulder. "At least you had some taste with this one!" She proclaimed. Pasha merely yelped at the whack, snapping out of her confusion. Oh. Well...that was weird. He obviously hadn't realized how often Kata liked to steal her boyfriends and girlfriends. "Very nice to meet you also, Lyon, and please just call me Kata." She smiled smoothly, kissing him on the cheek, which wouldn't be a gesture out of place back home, but here it was a little more overt then usual.
It was only the thought of loosing precious braincells that kept Pasha from banging her head off the wall, why on Earth had she been stuck with a mother like this? This was going to be...vaugely mortifying.
[ooc: Yep, she's a completely average human being. Heee, yes, it as deliberate, I though you'd like that XD]

"Only the best for your daughter, Mrs., uh, Kata," Lyon replied boastfully, turning his grin on Pasha. "You'd never accept any less, right sweetheart?" Looking back at Kata, Lyon put on his best parent-friendly face and added, "I'll bet she got that from you Kata, just like her looks and her brains." He worried briefly that he was laying it on a bit thick, but his head hurt so much that all he could really do for the moment was wing it.

"I must have grown and changed a lot in the last four years." Came her clipped reply. She hated it when her mother called her that. Only Papa had ever been allowed to call her that, even hearing his old nickname for her stung. It had been born from one day when Andrei Chekov had been reading his daughter a story and she had complained about the ducking having to change into the beautiful swan, claiming if it had been smart enough to survive on it's own then it didn't need to be pretty and it didn't need the mean swans. She could feel herself getting angry and upset, Pasha couldn't deal with being around this woman, she made her feel like a child again after she had work so hard and for so long.
Pasha let the memories of the past slip away, trying to focus on just not running and crying. Chekovs didn't cry. Papa had said that to her and it still rang true. Officers didn't cry either. "Mother. If you do not mind, I will take my leawe now. Stay in good health." It was all she could bear to say to her, there was no hugging, no proper goodbye and little love between the pair as Pasha turned on her heel, her hand on Lyon's wrist.

"It was nice to meet you Kata," Lyon called back with false cheerfulness. He then turned away and spoke in a voice meant only for Pasha's ears. "Man, and I thought my parents were annoying. Is your mom always like that?" Even he thought it was cruel to steal someone's else girlfriend, and having your mother be the one to do it only made things worse.

"Sorry about...all that as well." She waved an awkward hand. This wasn't something she usually brought into situations like this. Pasha ran a hand through her hair with a sigh, she hated the Kata situation at the best of times, but when people she knew got dragged into it, it was just irritating.

"It's okay. It wasn't so bad really," Lyon assured Pasha. "Besides, I'm sure you can think of a way to make it up to me if you put your brilliant mind to it." He let the innuendo hang in the air as moved in closer to Pasha with a lascivious smile. With his headache slowly subsiding Lyon was starting to feel like himself again, and since he wasn't going to be sleeping with Kata he decided that there was no reason why he couldn't sleep with her daughter instead.

Pasha needed to fight something, she could tell that much, or at least run it all off. She raked her brunette curls back from her face, quickly and efficiently pulling them into a high ponytail on the back of her head so she wouldn't be irritated by the hair flickering around her face once she found something to take out her anger on.

"You wanna go down to the gym and blow off some steam? It's been a while since we last sparred." Even if he couldn't do what he liked best with Pasha he was still up for doing his second favorite thing with her - spar.

"That would be good." She agreed. And hopefully it wouldn't end in her shooting something or someone, because really it wasn't good to go about shooting people, it could give a girl a bad reputation. And if she was correct- and it was rare that she wasn't the gym was close by. "It is nearby I believe." She noted, gesturing for Lyon to follow her, there was no point in holding onto his hand now even though she knew that was what she would have done with her friends back home the people of the West of Earth generally tended to take it the wrong way. Pasha quickly enough lead them both to the Gym, slipping inside.

"Alright, I'll meet you on the mat in five minutes," he said as they entered the gym. He turned to Pasha with an impish grin and added, "Unless you want to watch me get changed?"
