Ciel is sitting on a bed bawling her eyes out. On her legs are tattooed the words MURDERER and MONSTER. The hotel was digging into Ciel's carefully concealed past and displaying it on her body for the world to see. The door is open feel free to come and attempt to comfort her.

Zelgadiss peered in through the doorway; he'd developed something of a hero complex in the hotel, at least enough that he couldn't just leave after hearing a girl crying. He didn't need to ask what was wrong; he frowned at the words written on her legs, remembering how little time it was since the hotel had done the same to him - and one of the words was even the same.

He slipped into the room, sitting down next to her, and gently put a hand on her shoulder.

Ciel jumped at the touch and whipped her head to face the chimera. She shrugged away the hand on her shoulder. "Don't touch me. Please, I don't deserve it." She said softly, eyes tearing up again.

"You don't have to give in," he said softly, reaching up to wipe some of her tears away. "Please don't cry. It isn't true, it's just one of the hotel's tricks. You're not the only one it's tried it on," he added.

After a moment's hesitation, he unbuttoned his shirt slowly. The words "Monster" and "Traitor" were just barely visible on his chest.

Ciel flinched at his hand. "How would you know?" She said, her guilt turning quickly to indignant anger.

He tapped his own chest, right over the word "monster". There was a hollow noise of stone hitting stone, but that wasn't what he was concerned with right now. "You really think the hotel would have bothered to brand me with this if I hadn't already had the same doubts about myself?"
