Wufei'd tied his top sheet into something vaguely like a toga before ever leaving his room once he'd woken to find his clothes missing. Fortunately, the glasses he'd taken again to wearing instead of contacts had been left and were currently perched on his nose. He sat in a cafe with a book and cup of green tea, silently hoping than none of his ( Read more... )

The sweet call of food had drawn the winged Duo into the cafe. He hadn't eaten since he'd arrived, and he was positively starving. The red silk curtain he'd been given by Ky was tied loosely around his waist, and he occasionally had to lift it up slightly so he wouldn't trip on it.

After piling up a plate full of baked goodies (mainly cookies and muffins, which smelled like heaven), he looked around the area for a place to sit. And was very surprised to find Wufei, who he'd not seen since he'd died, since they both had died (atleast, in his timeline), when they ran out of air.

He sat down at his fellow pilot's table, without so much as asking, and a grin spread over his face, the white-feathered wings that grew out of his back fluttering lightly. "Wufei~ Didn't know you were here."

Wufei sighed a bit, marking his place before setting the book down. He should have known that the peace wouldn't last long. Looking up at the other pilot, his eyes widened.

"When did you grow Wings, Maxwell?"

Duo's grin widened. "Oh, these?" He glanced back at his wings, flexing them slightly. "After I hatched out of a cocoon," he answered.

He placed his elbows on the table, leaning his chin on his hands. "You must be from a different timeline or something." He was starting to get used to that idea, after having run into two other versions of himself. "Because in mine, you died right before I died."

That bit of news visibly started the Chinese pilot. "We're dead?"

Well, that explained why Duo looked younger than he recalled. The presence of wings had distracted him when he'd first glanced up at him. Then the first part of the statement caught up to him and he snorted. "I shouldn't be surprised that you hatched."

^_^ This...will not end well. victoriateacher January 22 2009, 03:21:39 UTC
Noin stalked into the cafe, annoyance written all over her face as she ordered herself a cup of black coffee and sat down. She had done something similar to Wufei, after all, she didn't have any of her clothes here.

She hadn't noticed Wufei yet or a fight would have broken out immediately.

Oh, but it'll be funny. lonedragon05 January 22 2009, 03:36:19 UTC
Wufei looked up at the woman's entrance. Since he'd worked with her by his time on relatively peaceful terms, he wasn't worried about seeing her.

"Noin. I see you've ended up here as well."

Noin blinked and looked around at Wufei for a moment. It took her a second to realize just who it was with the glasses on, but once it registered in her mind she stood up.

"You."

"Were you expecting someone else?" he asked mildly, taking a sip of his tea. "I believe Maxwell and Winner are running around here someplace if you're looking for them instead."
