After piling up a plate full of baked goodies (mainly cookies and muffins, which smelled like heaven), he looked around the area for a place to sit. And was very surprised to find Wufei, who he'd not seen since he'd died, since they both had died (atleast, in his timeline), when they ran out of air.
He sat down at his fellow pilot's table, without so much as asking, and a grin spread over his face, the white-feathered wings that grew out of his back fluttering lightly. "Wufei~ Didn't know you were here."

He placed his elbows on the table, leaning his chin on his hands. "You must be from a different timeline or something." He was starting to get used to that idea, after having run into two other versions of himself. "Because in mine, you died right before I died."

Well, that explained why Duo looked younger than he recalled. The presence of wings had distracted him when he'd first glanced up at him. Then the first part of the statement caught up to him and he snorted. "I shouldn't be surprised that you hatched."
