The samurai sat in the lobby of the hotel leaning over a shogi board, there had been a few moves made on either side and it was obvious that he was playing both sides. To the right of the game board, on a tobacco tray was a lit kiseru, filling the room with strands of smoke. On the other side of the board was a small bottle of sake and a cup to go with it. He lifted the cup to his lips and took a small drink before he returned to leaning over the board, obviously thinking very intently about his next move, stroking his chin thoughtfully.

"Hm...I'm a more challenging opponent than I thought."

Shogi, smoke and sake, what more could a man want?
