At home, things hadn't been going well for Kia. First, Louise had to leave the country because his father had work for him to take care of and Kia couldn't get enough leave from the army to join him. Louise didn't enjoy having to deal with family obligations even on a good day and handling it alone would have him remarkably cranky by the time he came back; Kia didn't look forward to that one bit. On top of that, the brat he was supposed to be working with refused to care for his advances and he was under specific orders from the client not to force him even if that would be the easier way to get this done and over with. He couldn't call up one of his old targets and current friends while on a job. It could ruin everything if the target heard he was involved with a man other than him.
He hadn't expected to wake up in the hotel after a couple rounds with his hand and fitful sleep, but once he did he sighed in slight relief. The hotel meant that he actually had a chance of getting sex with a person instead of himself and he'd be calmer when he went back home after however long this stay lasted. Kia headed out of his room, apparently immune or oblivious to the drugged air, and went to see who'd catch his eye. In this place, it usually wasn't hard to get what he wanted and if he ended up having to get a bit rough before then, all the better to deal with his irritation.
