Erk made a soft noise as he turned over in bed, whimpering a little. Kyonko woke up blearily when he pressed against her, for the moment disoriented and nestling close before it registered that what she was hearing weren't the usual sort of moans she heard from Erk.

She propped herself up on one elbow facing him, staring at him pretty much at a loss before reaching out and running a hand through his hair.

"Erk?," she began, her hand moving to his shoulder and shaking slightly to wake him up, "Erk, wake up."

Erk opened his eyes, waking up slowly. "Mm? What's going on, love?"

"I think you were having a nightmare," she said, "you were.... well, you sounded pretty scared."

The changes in the hotel around them--the muted colors, the supply of champagne, the chocolates--had yet to register in her mind. She was more concerned about Erk and if he was all right.

"You want to talk about it?" If he even remembered the dream, that was.

He shook his head. "I'm fine. It happens occasionally. Guess I really shouldn't be surprised... I mean, I did live through a war at sixteen."

He smiled, kissing her cheek gently. "Thank you for being concerned, though, love."

"True," she said with a small sigh and leaned forward to kiss him properly, "You're welcome. Just.... if something really does start to bother you, you'll tell me, right? I might not have been through a war or anything, but I can listen if you ever want to talk about it."

"Of course," he murmured, running a hand through her hair gently as he returned the kiss.

She pulled back a soft smile and then finally noticed how the hotel had changed. Her gaze was appreciative as she looked around.

"Looks like the hotel decided to not be so eye searing this time around," she murmured before turning back to Erk and resting her hand on his cheek, "Do you want to show it this is the right way to get us to do what it wants?"

"Mm... sounds good to me." He smiled back at her, his own hand resting on her shoulder. "Nice to wake up with you for a change, love."

"Same here," she said, kissing him softly and pressing herself closer, "It's been a while."

She kissed him again and smiled up at him.

"How do you want to do it this time.... love?"

"Mm... I'm not really feeling too picky right now." He let his arms slide around her, pulling her closer still. It had been too long since he could feel her against him. "I'm just glad to be with you again. Did you have anything in mind?"

"Just taking it slow," she said while her hand ran through his hair then along his back. For once she was glad to wake up naked in this place. It saved time on that whole undressing business and let her enjoy the feeling of Erk's arms directly against her skin.

"That's all," she said, laying kisses along his neck and jaw, "It's been a while since we just fooled around with each other."

Erk leaned his head back a little to expose more of his neck, shivering happily. "Mm... it has. Far too long."

He moaned softly, his own hands still running through her hair before trailing down her own back. He was perfectly happy to just feel her in his arms for the moment.

She made a small pleased sound when she felt his hands on her back and kissed up to his ear, one of her hands trailing down to his hip and running along it while she spoke.

"We really need to make up for lost time then."

He shivered a little, cupping her rear gently as he nuzzled against her. "Mm... Oh, yes..." His legs tangled with hers as they pressed together and he arched a little against her, moaning quietly.

"Mmmm...."

For a moment, she was tempted to pull him on top of her to feel his reassuring weight against her, but decided against it. Erk probably felt the same as she did and she decided it couldn't hurt to let him have the first turn being the one on the bottom. She pressed a hand to his shoulder and urged him onto his back, kissing him forcefully while she settled on top of him then propping herself up on her elbows and smiling down at him, running her hands through his hair.

"How do you always look so good when you first wake up in the morning?"

"Just lucky, I guess," he breathed, smiling back up at her as he reached up to touch her face gently. "How do you manage it?"
