"Are you alone? Do you feel the deep aching emptiness that I do? Have people abandoned you?"
The young woman broadcasts her questions. Using something that should travel very far away...this is the first time she has tested it, something one of the other girls was working on. Maybe she could make herself a friend, someone who wouldn't know her or of her...
"Have you lay awake at night and wonder why you exist?"
She stops broadcasting now. The small machine clutched tightly in her thin arms as she lay on her bed.
Why was she so obsessed with loneliness lately? Yes, she had been alone most of her life, but why now was she so heavily focused on it? Maybe she just wanted...or would that be needed, someone to identify with, even in the slightest of ways.
