For Yoochun, his "brother" is perfect and that is annoying. For Junsu, Yoochun is perfect in his own way.
Sometimes, looking for something won't let you see what is already there...

 Year of 2008

Park Yoochun, 22 years old, sophomore year of my design major in the National University of Seoul.

This was a strange year.

I decided to really focus on my studies and Junsu decided to be social. Even more. It was rare that we could spend more than an hour together during the day and even when we were at home we didn’t talk that much after he started going out every night.

Things definitely changed after Paris and I didn’t know why. Or maybe I did and I was afraid. I think he realized he made a mistake, the alcohol probably outdid him and he was not his usual self. The whole situation was weird and our relationship afterwards was even more. I debated with myself whether I should talk to him about what had happen or not but in the end, my own fears got the best of me and I avoided that matter.

After starting going out every night, he would ask me if I wanted to go along and sometimes even insisted, but I said no everytime. If you ask me why I did it, I can’t say. I was being stupid I guess. Afterwards he started asking me just for politeness sake, already knowing what would be my answer. Later on he stopped asking me and after getting dressed he would grab his things and leave, saying a quick ‘see you later’.

To add even more to his freedom, my brother got his driver’s license and my father gave him a car for his birthday.

A few months later he started getting weird and spending much more time outside and sleeping less at home. We would barely see each other or talked to each other but not because we had issues left unsolved.

Honestly I missed him and somethimes I wondered if he wouldn’t miss talking to me like before. Suddenly I started remembering our highschool days where he nagged me to tag along everywhere and I thought of how good it would be if those times could come back.

But they never would.

At the end of the year, he told me he had been offered an intership for his last college year and a job opportunity in a big company afterwards. Junsu was finishing his third year, majoring in political sciences and getting an internship was fantastic.

The thing is the location of the internship was not even in Soul but in Beijin!

“Beijin?! But that’s in China!”

“Yes, and one of the biggest political and economical centres...” He reasoned.

“You are moving to China and you talk about it so casually?” How could he do that

“How did you want me to tell you? It’s a great opportunity, Yoochun. It’s going to allow me to do what I really want to do in the future and I’ll be working on my field. I’ll have time to come back to Seoul later”

“What about me?” I beamed. I could not control my own words.

“What about you?

Yes, that was a very good question indeed. What right did I have to demand those kinds of answers?

“Mianen. I think the news caught me off guard.”

“Oh by the way, I have something else to tell you.” He started

“Good news or bad news?”

“Good, of course. I have a girlfriend.”

I freezed. “W-What?”

“I have a girlfriend. Actually we have been dating for three months now but I wanted to make sure that it would be a real relationship before telling anyone.”

“Three months? Why didn’t you tell me before? I thought that you trusted me, Junsu!”

“Can you calm down, ‘mommy’? I said I wanted to know if was something that would turn out to be a real relationship. You are the first to know.”

“What do you mean by ‘real relationship’? I asked, raising my voice “Are you telling me that after three months you already know if she’s the love of your life?”

“What is your problem exactly?” He raised his voice also, to match my tone “First you get paranoid because of my internship in Beijin and now you freak out when I tell you that I have a girlfriend? You weren’t expecting me to stay here all my life playing with you, right?”

“I am warning you: You better stop having that attitude with me Kim Junsu.” I said, pointing my finger at him.

“Take that out of my face!” He pushed my hand away with a slap and that argument soon got into a more physical one when he hit my face with his fist. I fell on the floor.

“Who are you to tell me what to do? Your attitude has always pissed me off anyway. You always thought of yourself as being better than everyone.” I said, while getting up.

“YOU were the one who always felt inferior! You were always a weakling anyway” He said

Without even thinking, I punched him also, hitting his face. He fell and put two of his fingers near his lip, only to realize that he was bleeding. That made him even more angry and he ended up punching me back.

At the time those didn’t hurt at all. I was too furious to feel the pain.

We ended up fighting for real, like we had never done before and I must mention that this scene ocurred right infront of the college’s gates which also means that the only reason why we didn’t kill each other was because our classmates saw us and ran to break us apart.

“What are you guys doing? You are brothers!” One of them said

“Yah, Park Yoochun, stop that. This is not you!” I heard someone else utter.

“You are so screwed up if I catch you!” I yelled at him

“I am glad this internship came up. I don’t know how I would stand to keep looking into your face!” He said, trying to make his classmate to free his arms.

“Stop that, you two!” His friend said at last

Both of us got free from our friend’s grip and we turned our backs on each other, going on our separate ways.

We stopped talking on that day.

Year of 2009

Park Yoochun, 23 years old. I finished my junior year and headed to the last year successfully.

Lately our assignments were much more practical and now I would always carry my sketch book where ever I went and every once in a while I’d go to the beach and stayed there, drawing until late in the afternoon.

Junsu finished college but did not even attend the graduation ceremony. After our fight, and since the internship date was schedduled, he left for Beijin and since then he didn’t go home once. I ended up knowing later on that the girlfriend he had told me about was with him in China and out of curiosity I asked one of our mutual friends if he knew her or if he knew what she was like.

There were not many details on their relationship because as Junsu said before, no one knew about it until the day we argued. Anyway, he told me that for a long time there were rumurs of what might happen between Junsu and her because according to him, they had great chemistry and well, they got to see each other everyday at the club.

He let me know that her name was Jang Ri In and that she was half korean and half chinese but lived in Korea since she was ten. Everyone said she was nice, sociable, intelligent and that Junsu seemed to like her very much.

Unfortunately no one had a picture to show me, so I had only to imagine how the girl for whom Junsu had fallen would look like.

By those descriptions alone, she sounded like a perfect girl made only for him.

If someone asked me if I was jealous, I’d say yes. Not that it was going to change something anyway.

At least not after what came next.

At the end of the year, we got a phonecall from him. It was usual for him to call during the week but strangely, we didn’t receive any calls from him that past week.

My father picked up the phone and talked to him as usual, but this time there was something that made him stay silent for awhile.

“Are you serious, Junsu? When have you decided on that?

Me and my mother remained silent, wondering why mr Kim had such a serious look on his face and waiting for the phone call to end.

“Are you sure about that, son? It’s... Ok then. Of course we will support you on your every decision. I am sure your mother and brother will be happy too.”

A few minutes later he put down the phone, sighing and smiling slightly.

“That boy… always in such a rush.”

“What happened honey? What decision was that you were talking about? My mother asked

“Junsu is coming back next month. He was offered a job proposition and he is planning to come back and stay here. There is something else we will have to celebrate though because our Junsu is getting married.”

“WHAT?” I yelled

“He said so himself right now. It looks like he and his girlfriend made the decision recently.”

Suddenly I felt like the floor was opening underneath my feet. He could not be serious. He couldn’t marry like that!

I wished it was another one of his jokes. It had to be... but unfortunatelly it wasn’t and in the next month he really did come back and she was with him.

After that, everything happened too fast, leading us to where were now...

A/N: Sorry for the late update, guys, but here you go. Enjoy chapter 10. Junsu's POV comes tomorrow, so comment away  and tell me what ya think ^_ ^
