The Top of the Park schedule for this summer has finally been posted! For those who havn't experienced this most glorious part of living in Ann Arbor, Top of the Park is basically a free, outdoor event with movies and music that takes place on top of the Fletcher street parking garage here on UM's campus. There is also food and alcoholic beverages availble for not-so-free prices. This year, it runs June 17th to July 10th. Free movies show Sunday-Thursday at 10 PM.

I'm particulary pleased with the selection of Ferris Buller's Day Off,, a long-reigning favorite movie of mine. I'm also pleased that Jimmy Stewart will be gracing the screen in Rear Window, albeit on July 4th, when everybody else will likely have other plans. And of course, I am looking forward to the film classic that is Napoleon Dynamite, even though "it's pretty much the worst video ever made." The only thing I am sad about is that Gene Kelly's brilliant cinematic career was frustratingly overlooked at Top of the Park for yet another year. Someday Gene, someday.
