OMG! Divorce Papers have been served on me! OMG!
I can't believe it! While I was at work last week, a pile of paperwork got sent to my home informing me that my DEAREST BELOVED SPOUSE was APPLYING TO HAVE OUR WONDERFUL MARRIAGE DISSOLVED!
And what's more, because I was at work, my partner saw the court stamp and OPENED THE ENVELOPE to see what the court wanted with me, so now knows all about it! OMG!
And I am, like, OMG, the shock is too much for me - because I had NO IDEA that any government paperwork could turn up on my door within 24 hours of the application being submitted - when the date in question was after the last posting date for Christmas!
Well done the Court Service. I've now returned the bit that they sent me, so now have to wait for them to send Sarah the bit that says that I've received the bit that Sarah sent. But if they continue to be that quick, there will be nothing to worry about as the civil partnership deadline approaches.
Oh, and due to it being the season of festive goodwillconsumerism, I bought a lovely implement from John Lewis for chasing my soon-to-be-ex-ex-spouse around the house.
It would be perfect for building a kinky Dalek, as well, but I don't think we need a Dalek in the house, not even if it was dressed up in black PVC, gave out electric shocks on demand, and it excelled at terrifying my mother into never visiting again.
