I don't get the flu shot. I'm not getting the H1N1 shot. None of my family are either. Stop trying to scare me into it. I mean it.

I was with you up until yesterday.

Danae always gets the flu shot due to her low iron. If someone gets ill in our house, it is usually Danae. I don't know if she gets the flu each year BECAUSE of the shot or if it would be even worse if she didn't get it.

What I do know is that IF something were to happen to my kids, and I had decided against the H1N1 shot... well, I couldn't bare it. Chances are that this is all just a huge hype... but I wonder if the same was thought about Polio, etc (if people even had knowledge that it was coming... not sure whether they did or not)... and look what happened.

Anyway... just my thoughts :)

We are taking preventative measures against the flu, but the shot doesn't guarantee you WON'T get it. That's the thing. I read a really interesting article on flu shots and there have been 3 years that something has gone wrong (they didn't have enough of the shot, they picked the wrong flu etc etc) and morbidity rates remained exactly the same!
We are looking at a homeopathic alternative.
