The world is worse off than I thought.
I am so glad I homeschool my kids. Seriously. You should all start homeschooling if you have girls because apparently the education system is failing our females. Badly. Horribly. Failing.
How do I know this?
Last week on vacation, I was enjoying our hosts TV (I don't miss it at home but it was fun to watch the cable they were paying for) and watching Law and Order. The commercials through it were largely geared to women. It was daytime and it was on Bravo - they know their audience.
A commercial comes on for pregnancy tests. They show a picture of a test and the voice over states "1 in 4 women can't read a conventional pregnancy test"... wait... a pregnancy test? Really?
Now, I've taken a few pregnancy tests in my day. In my experience, there are the one or two line kinds, the + and - sign kinds and I think maybe a pink and blue combination of the + and - sign. So what they are saying is that 1 in 4 women cannot tell the difference between one line and two. Or between this + and -
Crap. We're in trouble. 1 in 4 women are STUPID!
