Hey guys! Like a lot of you, I'm making my way back to LJ for a lot of different reasons. I dropped my FB years ago... it's a cesspool. And I need the outlet/refuge that LJ has always provided for me.
So... I'd love to make some new friends along the way! So, if anybody's still out there, read on and if you're interested, feel free to add me!
Name: Kevin
Sex: M
Location: Southern California
How long have you been on LiveJournal? At first, a really long time... then went away from it for a long while, and now I've migrated back to it. I've missed it and hope people can start breathing life into it again.
What do you/will you write about? Everything from life stuff, to books, movie, sports, politics... I can be quite wordy at times and I never know what's going to pop into my head at any moment really.
What particular qualities do you look for in a friend? I like people with similar interests, interesting viewpoints, those who enjoy lively banter and conversation. Just fun people, who are smart, and have something to say.
What would cause you not to add someone as a friend, or to delete them? Not agreeing with every single word I say. Kidding. Being a bigot is definitely a deal breaker for me.
Favourite films or TV shows: Hmmm... favorite movies would be Quills, Dead Poets Society, American Beauty, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, the Star Wars movies, LOTR. TV shows would be Dexter (except for the end), Criminal Minds, Dr. Who, Game of Thrones (mostly), Chopped, ummmm... there's probably more.
Favourite books: Watership Down, Animal Farm, 1984, the entire Harry Bosch series by Michael Connelly, most anything by Stephen King, the Nevernight series by Jay Kristoff, many historical biographies, and many, many more... I'm a voracious reader.
Favourite foods: Sushi. Chinese food. Fried chicken (legs & thighs only!). Steak (bloody as hell, please). Onion rings.
Favourite drinks: Coffee. Diet Pepsi. Cherry Diet Dr. Pepper
Favourite bands and musicians: Pink Floyd... and a lot of others. I don't think I can narrow it down. But I listen to (and love) anything from Classical to Metallica, to Tori Amos. Not a big fan of opera and country though.
Hobbies and pastimes: Reading. Writing. Sports. Cooking. Going to museums. I love history and study it often.
How would you describe your style? Distinctly lacking.
Anything else you'd like to tell us? I spend a lot of time on Twitter. :-)
