How long have you been on LiveJournal? I have a couple of journals going back to around 2002.

What do you/will you write about? Stream of consciousness diary rants. I've found myself reverting to the feelings I had back when I had my old journals to be honest, so it will basically be a way of me releasing a lot of pent up frustration and trauma. I'm a nice person at heart though!

What particular qualities do you look for in a friend? Someone who is non-judgemental and friendly. Similar interests would be great, but not essential. Just anybody understanding really, or in need of a shoulder to rest their head on for a while.

What would cause you not to add someone as a friend, or to delete them? Anything goes in someone's personal journal, but I'll be put off by abusive, bigoted and prejudiced people, and just straight up hate speech in general.

Favourite films or TV shows: I'm a big Lynch fan so Twin Peaks is the show for me. His films are mostly great as well, especially Mulholland Drive, Blue Velvet and Eraserhead. Also love Groundhog Day, Alan Partridge, and Blackadder

Favourite books: I collect antique books, especially on nature writing. They had such a beautiful way of writing that transports you right to that place and time. Also love Cormac McCarthy. Blood Meridian is a masterpiece IMO.

Favourite foods: Italian and Greek cuisine will get you a good spot in my heart. Basically Mediterranean food.

Favourite drinks: Anything non-alcoholic (currently 6 years sober)

Favourite bands and musicians: I love everything from pre-war blues to death metal. Inbetween those I love 80s pop, synthwave, ambient, nu-metal and post-punk. Favourite bands are Depeche Mode, skycamefalling, Japan, Joy Division, Korn, TRUSTcompany, Signal Hill, Pearl Jam, Katatonia, The Doors, etc.

Hobbies and pastimes: Music, reading, genealogy, nature walks, and helping people in recovery from addiction.

How would you describe your style? I have no idea. I just write when I feel I need to and it goes down exactly how it comes out. I'm not one for amending and formatting.

Anything else you'd like to tell us? My journal may be a cathartic outlet for me, and may often seem dark and at times misanthropic, but I do love people to say hi and will always do so back, so the bark is certainly worse than the bite. 😂

Thanks for reading.
