How long have you been on LiveJournal? Since March 2001. I deleted my original account to start this one. This was started in April 2002.

What do you/will you write about? Currently it's mostly my mental health struggles, healing from past stuff, daily life & observations. I would like to intersperse that with more regarding my writing works in progress, blog-type posts with themes of art/music/culture/politics sometimes.

What particular qualities do you look for in a friend? Common interests, common values and worldview, depth and meaningful conversation, similar sense of humor (usually dark humor or absurdist) loyalty and trust.

What would cause you not to add someone as a friend, or to delete them? I once made a friend on here years ago and we interacted very well until I began journaling about my exploring religion and he shat all over it then went on to be very graphic about some things that he knew made me uncomfortable because I expressed as much. It's the only time I've ever deleted someone on here. Basically-- don't go out of your way to be a jerk about someone's spiritual journey. Or any journey, really. So long as you're not journaling about committing violent crimes, abuse of people, or only journaling about your hatred/anger based on bigotry or discrimination-- we're probably going to be just fine. I'm pretty accepting in general.

Favourite films or TV shows: TV- Seinfeld, Young Ones, It's always sunny in philadelphia, Bob's Burgers, Futurama, Star Trek; TNG. Movies- Everything by Stanley Kubrick, Most Silent and Classic films, The Godfather trilogy, Most Ridley Scott movies, 80s and 90s era Spielberg, The first 6 Star Wars movies, LoTR trilogy, Werner Herzog movies--I'm sure I could list off more but I won't.

Favourite books: ASOIAF series, Dune, Ender's Game, Interview with a vampire/Vampire Lestat, Gone with the Wind, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, everything by Carl Jung and Joseph Campbell, most books by Antonia Fraser, too many books to list that are about History/Non-Fiction.

Favourite foods: Chocolate, oatmeal with berries and almonds, pizza without cheese, Nutella, buffalo chicken tenders served over french fries with bacon bits & cheese with ranch dressing and scallions, a good hamburger, crab rangoon.

Favourite drinks: Coffee, seltzer/flavored carbonated water like LaCroix, Water, occasionally a ginger ale.

Favourite bands and musicians: Nick Cave and the bad seeds, System of a Down, The Raveonettes, Dum Dum Girls, David Bowie, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Ink Spots (Bing Crosby, Al Bowlly and most anything from the 20s, 30s and 40s) Everly Brothers, The Smiths, Rammstein, Visage, Killing Joke, Depeche Mode, Johnny Cash, Jeff Buckley. Alot of Post-Punk, Industrial, New Wave, Metal and Jazz and Classical music particularly piano-forte and cello/Viol chamber music.

Hobbies and pastimes: Writing, listening to music, playing RPG games, watching game streams, hiking, traveling/road trips, reading, walking around places just to window shop or people watch.

How would you describe your style? Mostly leggings with baggy shirts/flannel shirts or a bulky sweater and some skateboarding shoes in autumn/winter, in summer I like dresses and sandals or anything flowy and loose. I'm picky about fabrics and prefer comfort first. I prefer uncomplicated things. I dress pretty dorky and tomboyish overall. No particular "style" per se. I've always done my own thing.

Anything else you'd like to tell us? I use LJ pretty regularly. I'm a wife and mom who is housebound these days after we bought a house and I've not made any in person connections. I left ALL of the social media platforms and I'm interacting with-- no one these days. So any adult, intellectual or even just chatting conversations with others is so very welcome. I struggle with depression/anxiety and OCD so I can relate to people also struggling. I'm introverted and dorky. Happy to meet others here after many years of it being so quiet, it seems. <3
