If you're still out there, and interested, show of hands.

If you have ideas for SOMETHING to do or happen, please volunteer it.

I'm considering re-tooling (not restarting) the game, adjusting the original background, and doing another round of promotion.

If you have any thoughts or suggestions, now's the time to voice them.

I want to apologize for sitting on my character so long. It has been a difficult time trying to wrap my brain around the game, find a good social niche, etc. (RL happened too.)

What I would really appreciate if someone might assist me, in, you know.. the niche finding ordeal.

There really isn't a "niche" perse. It's simply interacting with other players. Talk to other players, post something interesting (if it's an alien incursion, that has to be run by the GMs first) that others can react to and/or take part in.

Some thoughts would be themes along the lines of:

"Oh! Look! A derelict alien spacecraft buried in the brush!"

"Giant alien fish spawning in the river!"

"Those wacky teenagers have created a go-cart track!"

"Aaargh ... a dead body, ewww!"

It's whatever -you- want to do. It might not always get a response, and then you just move on and try again.

Also, when posting, be certain to reply promptly if someone replies to you. I can't speak for everyone on the comm, but I know that I get bored and lose interest if more than 48 hours goes by without a response to a post or a reply I made. (Actually, I'm bored by 24 hours; by 48 hours, I can still muster up a little interest. More than 48 hours and it's a crap shoot.)

There's a thread for everyone on-world to participate in going on here. It's a great way to jump in and interact with other characters. If you don't know who they are, it's a great way to start figuring it out and getting a beat on their personalities.

(Plus the OOC is a great place to look up biographies and ask questions)

I want to apologize too, been having much the same problem as Spaceflyboy really. I don't want to drop though if I can avoid it. I'm willing to accept any help anyone wants to give too.

Well I'd be more then happy to have Nick running around a bit more. He was starting work on the missing girl case but I'm not sure what is coming of that.

Sorry about my inactivity - my only excuse is that RL has me keeping a very unpredictable schedule, internet connection-wise, and I don't wanna accidentally leave anyone hanging. I don't wanna drop, but I might end up having to, anyway :|
