Brief Biography: (Modified for modern Earth) Wyatt Cain was a cop in Bozeman , Montana . Competent, clever, he is an honest cop and a pragmist with a cynical side. Raised on a Cattle and horse ranch - he is a cowboy, quite literally. He’s the kind of lawman you’d expect in the old west, right down to the faded green-brown oil leather duster and the grey fadora never long off his head.
He is a widower and lost his wife eight years ago to a pissed off drug dealer who was none to happy with his arrest. He left the force after that and moved back to his family’s ranch with his then ten year old son. Wyatt’s 18 year old son, Jeb, came with him to the colony.
Gamma Site Biography: Cain brought along a good hundred fifty head beef cattle with him as part of the feed the colony bit. And fifty good adult horses. Not the kind with bloodlines miles back, but solid riding mounts. Of those twenty-five have been traded out to the colony. The rest are kept for personal use and as breeders. He and his son, as well as eight hands tend the herds a good hour’s horse ride from Gatetown boarders.
They have a stable built, but no home. They tend to sleep in a loft above the stables when they aren’t out in tents. He’s been working his herd and breeding both cattle and horses for the colony. He only has four two year olds to offer as new mounts now. But three more yearlings are being trained, and three new foals are part of their stable. Some of the horses were traded for the hard work of building fences for the home based grazing of the cattle herd. However, the long hours put into working the animals doesn’t give them much time to actually build a ranch house. They’re looking in to how to manage it.
