Ami looked up briefly from her work as Vivian Wu appeared, looking refreshed and not at all like a woman who'd just been quietly, but completely shagged. Even without "peeking" inside the brains of those she was "stationed" off-world with, there were certain emotions that simply couldn't be hidden. Of course, normally Ami ignored them as best she could, shielding against the distraction, but she couldn't afford - the teams couldn't afford - for her to do such a thing out here.

(I just hope that doesn't become regular, or that our teams aren't regularly together,) Ami thought, attention back on her work, mostly notes about Tau site and her brief observations of the Mayan and Aztec influence seen around the ziggarut. If Vivian and James kept that up, it might make for a bit of restlessness from the spillover.

"What do you do to relax, Captain Boone?" Teyla's voice rang out clearly. "Do you engage in meditation, or are you more the type to 'give something a good beating'?"

Ami smirked and looked up again, hearing the air quotes in Teyla's question. She idly wondered from whom the Athosian woman learned such a turn of phrase.

Something tickled the back of her mind, and Ami turned her head expectantly, staring out into the darkness. It wasn't Captain Harkness, though she recognized that particular tight shield, like fingers scrambling against a wet surface, as belonging to her team leader. No, whatever it was, it was beyond him, but aware of him.

Aware of them.

If it was an animal it might be wary. (But then again, it might not be.)

"Ami? Is something wrong?"

She hadn't realized that she tuned out the conversation between Teyla, Boone and Vivian, put aside her notebook and stood, turning toward the darkened wood beyond the tent until Teyla's voice called out to her.

"I'm restless," Ami threw out as an explanation. There was no need to alarm anyone over a curious animal, but never the less, her eye contact with Boone did linger a heartbeat longer than required.

The hairs on the back of her neck were standing on end, something scratching at the back of her mind, and while it didn't completely alarm her, it did make her wary.
