Cassie canted her head, watching him.. and pulled her head back ever so slightly, nodding. "The labs are talking about that project. I figured that if you were working--" There'd be a better than even chance that the younger man had something to do with it.
It was at that moment, when he'd asked after her work, that she realized that she hadn't yet introduced herself, and immediately went to remedy that. She put a hand out, full in the knowledge that his were probably greasy, and followed up with, "I'm Cassandra, by the way. Cassandra Fraiser."
Once done, she did continue, adding a shrug to the mix. "Anything that needs to be done, really. Help out in the science lab, research assistant to the archaeologists, and random go-fer. Which means I don't know a whole lot about much, even if I did graduate college." She didn't seem too upset about any of that, but she was also very much aware that the 'conversations' were beginning about what she was going to do with 'the rest of her life'... and she wasn't necessarily involved in the opening talks.
"I only do what the boss tells me for now. Says I got all the stuff to become a genius mechanic.. just gotta get the rest of the worldly knowledge that I'll, even now, never use in real life." Duo grinned widely at his own words.
He took her hand, shaking it firmly with that expected feeling of dirt and grease on his finger tips. "Maxwell." he said dryly. "Duo Maxwell." Very bond like of him, no? He flashed her a dopey smile and pulled his hand away, shoving both into his pockets once again.
"Hm. I see." Duo replied, almost if he didn't really seem interested at first. "Least you got to go to college. Figure Air Force woulda' had me go but .. Well.. Circumstances- worse comes to worse and we become pioneers. Exciting, yet somber.." he seemed to consider this, then after a beat "I totally didn't come up with that, by the way."
