Summer was having one of those mornings, where everything that could possibly go wrong just did. First she got dressed only to find that the shirt she had put on had a stain on it. She got a new shirt and then somehow lost the back to one of her earrings. In flipping through some of the paperwork she needed to go through she got a nasty papercut, right before she banged her toe on her desk.
Finally Summer grabbed up some paperwork and decided to just go and get breakfast. When she stepped out of her tent the sky looked a little overcast but not bad. Halfway across the encampment the sky opened up and let loose a deluge. Summer tried to outrun the rain only to twist her ankle and fall into a puddle of mud. By the time the hapless woman reached the Mess she was soaked, filthy, and sure her ankle was beginning to swell.
Summer got some toast, since they were out of pancakes, grabbed a cup of coffee and then limped and squished her way over to a table. She sat down and then began trying to shift through her now soggy stack of papers to see what she could salvage while she ate her slightly burnt toast. This was just not her day.
