Summer has already had her breakfast, being an early riser. There are times she wonders if she woke early only to irritate the rest of her family, all late risers. Of course Summer never liked to spend too much time analyzing her relationship with her family. It was way too much work.
As Summer stepped out of the Messhall, contemplating the rest of her day she caught sight of one of the younger botanists rapidly approaching. It was too much to hope the man was just coming to get something to eat. In the distance she also spotted the approach of one General O'Neill and tried to change course to meet him.
Summer did not get far before she was caught by the younger botanist who began going on about there being an emergency of some sort. Summer held up a hand after a moment, stopping the botanist in his lengthy discourse, "Is there a giant plant taking over the encampment?"
The other botanist looked confused for a moment before shaking his head, "Uhm, no."
Summer simply smiled at the man, "Well then calm down, take a few deep breaths, and explain to me what the problem is."
The other botanist did as he was told, calming down to explain how one section of one of the fields was not doing so well. Summer sighed softly, "Look run some tests on the soil, check ph. Check the fertilizer used on that patch. This is not a catastrophe. Just start the ball rolling and I'll come and give you a hand later."
