Sometimes, it's good to feel regret. You welcome it at certain times because you know you did something wrong, and you acknowledge it, you feel that pang of regret but already know that you've learned from it and hope to never repeat it again.
Sometimes regret is accompanied by constant throwing up, a high fever, and a sore throat.
The latter is an example of regret and consequence simultaneously reminding of what happens when you make bad decisions based off certain emotions that quickly come and then subside.
