Inspired by the Food Network and my general lack of ingredients to work with, I cobbled together a couscous dinner with sausages and cranberries.
This was the recipe I based it off of:
http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ina-garten/sausage-and-herb-stuffing-recipe/index.html I basically replaced the bread with couscous, used turkey sausage, and soaked the cranberries in apple cider and a dash of grappa (in her show, Ina used apple brandy, so lacking that, I improvised). The pan was de-glazed with the cider/grappa blend, and I used rosemary instead of the suggested parsley, and topped it off with some pecans.
Wonderful and hearty, and a nice twist on my typical couscous which is filled with just onions, tomatoes, dried fruit and nuts and sometimes chicken.
I win again! Bow before, kitchen. You are my bitch!
