Angie was sitting at the bar after Jack left, started another pint, and decided to smoke a cigarette. It was something she very, very rarely did, but she felt she needed one just now. She wasn't angry or really stressed, but she was thinking about Charlie and Jack and the colony and the dragon babies. A cigarette seemed comforting, almost like the company of a good friend. Someone you never had to explain anything to or make excuses for or even talk to if you didn't want. Just Angie and her pint and her smoke.
And she waited for Ken.
