After having gotten off work, Penny had apparated home and changed into her green dress, even though her mother had been the one to buy it for her, saying she was particularly fond of the back. Although Penny had to agree, she hadn't let her know of the fact, and now only wore the dress out if she felt particularly up for going out and having fun. As if she felt some sort of perverse pleasure out of knowing that if her mother knew of what she was out doing, she would disapprove. Either way, she was immensely looking forward to her quasi-date with Romilda that evening.
She had won a night out with her, and an article written for her as well, and yet Romilda had insisted in their recently exchanged owls that she shouldn't consider tonight their night out. While Penny found that odd, she had to admit that she felt somewhat pleased at the fact. She'd seen the pretty brunette only a couple times before, but she already knew she was going to enjoy her company thoroughly.
Stepping into the Leaky Cauldron, she took a seat in the booth near the door - and next to the window - to watch for Romilda's arrival.
