What? Me worry?

It is beyond my ability to comprehend why I am not preparing resumé packages on a daily basis. I piss and moan with nauseating drippiness about how I'm just not into my job anymore, I check the journalism job listings on a daily basis, and I see openings -- in the past week, one in Mesa, Ariz., another in Georgia and another in Iowa -- yet, I don't ( Read more... )

Amusingly enough, I lived in Mesa for most of 2001 (worked in Chandler) - I can only assume the position was with the East Valley Tribune. Even if it doesn't turn out to tbe the right thing... you've got to branch out and try something if you don't feel like what you have now is right.
Maybe you'll screw up and start over again and again, but it's far better to walk out on your own two feet than be caried out on your back.

Could be either the Trib or the Arizona Repulsive as they lso have offices out there. As far as the other, is Rainbow still farked?

Rainbow is fine now. Now, those busy little beavers are involved with tearing Rancho Drive apart -- right next to 95. Sure isn't doing much for the already-aggravating Vegas traffic conditions.

:( i miss my miss match already. Although i wouldnt want ENT to go missing.. I fear for the day when trek goes off tv.

But it bites that they never let Miss Match get a nice guy.. i mean, they are cancelling on her when she is rock bottom in heartbreak.. arghh.. no dignity to a good series that was based on loveconnections..
Oh well, atleast there is "Joan of Arcadia" to hope for now.. Seen it?

Never have seen that. And I don't really like "chick" shows in general. I watched Miss Match 'cuz of the Alicia Factor. Before I saw it, I thought it probably wouldn't appeal to me, but I was surprised to find it was pretty entertaining.

But I wouldn't make a habit of tuning in stuff like Joan of Arcadia or The O.C.. Sorry.

I can't believe you'd pick a CHICK FLICK over Star Trek! That's just mean man! You get the silent treatment. **This is me not listening or speaking**

(Anal retentive mode activated).
In reference to the posts above - Akiraprise is NOT Star Trek!!!!

It's simply....... unwatchable. it hurts, as a fan of TOS, TNG, DS9 and the first 4 seasons of VOY that Star Trek, as a franchise now sucks big time. :(

Captain Kirk lives!

It's not your fault you've been programmed by society to love chick flicks and loathe the Star Trek Enterprise "work in progress".

You don't like chick flicks? What if Christina Ricci starred in one?

Georgia isn't a bad place... Gotta live somewhere close to Atlanta or Athens though... outside of the city, it's just plain scary.

mmmmm... Chili.

You like chili? Well, then you'd love this goop that I prepare when I have guests. So, you and Serg are invited! And I promise lotsa beer and other imbibements.

Too many narrow minded rednecks and pentacostal churches you prolly won't like it. Oh yeah and the bars close at 2am and they don't sell alcohol on Sundays.

Georgia definitely isn't tops on my list, but then again, I'd go anywhere that would further my (alleged) journalistic career. That's basically the only reason I'm trying to leave Vegas.

So, I take it you could hardly wait to come back here while you and Peter spent the holidays in Atlanta...?

Our trip was dreadfully long! I was ready to return to Nevada by day 2. I can't believe I ever missed that dreadful place, I don't think I'll ever go back, not even for a funeral.
