It's shameful that it sounds like they were focusing solely on pureblood families to figure out who caused a problem. And whether their possessions were taken during the raid or not, there had to have been some breach to have goblins just wander into their residence and take stuff. I doubt what was taken were just laying about in the street for ( Read more... )

It's truly a disgusting invasion of privacy, isn't it? I appreciate the Ministry's efforts to protect us, but I highly doubt that this is the best way to go about it.

I agree. Just horrible. I understand they are trying to protect everyone, but they aren't going to about this well. Mugglebloods or halfbloods could have been behind it too, not just purebloods. And to open someone's house so, if they are telling the truth, a goblin could just wander in and take something... Appalling.

Exactly. I know for a fact that my mother has nothing to hide, but that doesn't mean that I like the idea of our home being searched. And we certainly can't afford to have anything taken from us.

My family has nothing to hide either, but I agree, that doesn't make it any better to have your house searched.

Of course not that it would do much good to complain since that might give them the idea to search our family's residences.

You have a good point there. I don't think there's really anything we can say or do to help our case without raising suspicion.

It's rather annoying. Hopefully there won't be anymore searches... though you never know. And hopefully the "goblins" won't be stealing anything else.

Considering all of the paranoia that's been going on as of late, I highly doubt that we can expect these things to stop.

That's true... nothing like this is happening around your family, hopefully?

Fortunately, everything seems to be happening in the United Kingdom as of now. For once, it's a blessing to be far from my family.

That is good. My family is lucky as well. It is a blessing to have them far away from this.

Perhaps we can meet for tea again.

That would be lovely. I get a distinct feeling that I'm going to need a distraction from all of this ridiculousness soon.

Yes, I have the feeling I will need a distraction as well. When should we meet for tea?
